  • We kicked off National Apprenticeship Week on Monday by celebrating Aidan Olson at our Buchanan, Michigan facility as he completed his electrical apprenticeship. Over the past few years, Aidan has put in the work to reach this milestone. Through classroom learning and hands-on experience, he has continued to grow his skills. This is a strong accomplishment and a reflection of the effort he has put in every step of the way. We’re proud of Aidan and glad to have him on the team! 👏 Pictured left to right: Todd Tanksley, Jamen Blake, Aidan Olson, Dan Miller, Darrel Kettring, Jim Mercier. #NationalApprenticeshipWeek #SkilledTrades #EdgewaterAutomation

  • This week we recognize the people building their careers through hands on learning. Apprentices are a key part of Edgewater, developing technical skills and gaining real experience while contributing to the work behind every project we deliver. Across Edgewater Automation and Edgewater Manufacturing, they support a wide range of work, from machine building and electrical to metal fabrication and more. Happy National Apprenticeship Week to our apprentices. We appreciate the work you put in every day and the role you play across Edgewater! 👏🏼 #NationalApprenticeshipWeek #SkilledTrades #EdgewaterAutomation

  • Spartanburg, South Carolina is right in the middle of a region that continues to grow and invest in manufacturing, from automotive to aerospace and defense. That is exactly why our team is there. Across Edgewater Automation, more than 30% of the work we support ties back to automotive. Being surrounded by that level of activity keeps us closely connected to the pace, expectations, and challenges shaping the industry. At the same time, the Southeast is seeing a steady rise in aerospace and defense manufacturing, and with it, a growing need for automation. Our Spartanburg facility has taken on more of that work and is proud to support it as an ITAR-registered partner. Being part of this region allows us to stay connected to what matters locally while contributing to something bigger. It supports the manufacturers driving growth, creates opportunity within the community, and strengthens how we show up for our customers. If you are manufacturing in the Southeast and looking for a partner who understands the work happening here, we would welcome the conversation. #Manufacturing #Automation #SouthCarolina #Automotive #Aerospace #Defense

  • Winner of New Product of the Year at The Assembly Show, this automated assembly system was built at our St. Joseph, Michigan facility for a repeat customer in the consumer goods industry. It’s running at a rate of one part every 1.6 seconds, while maintaining the level of control those components require. The system brings together more than six FANUC America Corporation robots, vision-guided inspection, SuperTrak CONVEYANCE™, and automated pack-out into a single, coordinated process. Each element plays a role in keeping production consistent without slowing things down. It’s a strong example of how system design directly impacts both throughput and quality on the floor. If you’re working through a process where speed and precision both matter, it’s worth a conversation. #EdgewaterAutomation

  • Great to see the momentum from the Edgewater Manufacturing Team.   Investments like this continue to expand what they can take on and position them for more complex, high-quality work. It’s a strong reflection of the demand they’re seeing and the trust they’ve built with their customers.   It also supports the work we do on the automation side, with close collaboration between our teams to supply critical components for our systems.   Looking forward to seeing this machine in action! 👏🏻

It’s been a strong year for Edgewater Manufacturing. We’re seeing continued demand, steady growth, and the kind of work that keeps pushing our team forward. As part of that growth, we’ve added a new MCA DAVI 4-roll plate rolling machine to our operation. This expands our capabilities in thin plate rolling, giving us greater control over forming, improved consistency, and the ability to take on more complex shapes and tighter requirements. It also helps us move faster and handle a wider range of work coming through the shop. Investments like this are about making sure we continue to support our customers with the quality and responsiveness they rely on. If you’re looking for a manufacturing partner with the capability to take on more, we’d be glad to connect. Stay tuned for video from the Edgewater Manufacturing LinkedIn page showing this machine in action soon. #Manufacturing #Fabrication #Metalworking #EdgewaterManufacturing

  • Our team was in Greenville, South Carolina this week for the Greater Upstate Apprenticeship Career Fair. We had the opportunity to connect with students ready to start a career in the skilled trades, individuals from the community looking to build a new path, and educators working to set them up for long-term success. Careers in the skilled trades play a critical role in manufacturing. These are hands-on, problem-solving positions that keep operations running and create real opportunities for growth. At Edgewater Automation, we support that path by investing in people who want to learn, develop their skills, and build a career in this industry. If you're in the Spartanburg area and interested in learning more or connecting with our team, we would welcome the conversation. Feel free to reach out to us directly to learn more about opportunities. #EdgewaterAutomation #SkilledTrades #Apprenticeships #ManufacturingCareers

  • The demand for data centers isn’t slowing down. AI, cloud, and high-performance computing are pushing facilities to scale faster than ever, and the pressure to build, install, and ramp up equipment quickly is real. That puts a lot of weight on how systems are designed and built. At Edgewater Automation, we design and integrate automated systems that support high-volume, repeatable production for critical data center components. From assembly and material handling to fully integrated systems, the focus is simple. Build it right. Build it to run. Build it to keep up with demand. If you are scaling capacity and need systems that can match that pace, let’s talk. #EdgewaterAutomation

  • A closer look at one of our current builds at our St. Joseph, Michigan facility. This system is being built for a medical application, where the assembly process has to be exactly right, every single time. When the end product affects patient care, there is no margin for error. These photos capture some of the details. The FANUC America Corporation robots, the vision systems, the precision components that control how parts are fed and verified at each step. Right now the system is in the debug phase, where our engineering team is fine-tuning every movement and confirming the entire process performs the way it was designed to before it leaves our floor. It is one of the most detail-intensive stages of a build, and in an application like this, that attention to detail is everything. Final validation and customer installation are next. #EdgewaterAutomation #Robotics #Manufacturing

The pace of data center growth right now is hard to ignore. Across the U.S., there are already over 600 operating data centers and nearly 900 more planned. At the same time, regions like the Midwest are becoming a major focus, with billions being invested right here in Michigan and Indiana. You can see it locally. New campuses going up. Expansion announcements coming one after another. A lot of the conversation centers around AI and cloud demand, and rightfully so. But what does not get talked about enough is the pressure this puts on the manufacturing side behind it. Every one of these facilities depends on critical systems being built at scale. Power distribution, battery backup, cabling, control hardware. And not just built once. Built consistently, at volume, and on tight timelines. That is where execution matters. At Edgewater Automation, we are already working with manufacturers supporting this space. Designing and integrating automated systems for high-volume assembly, including cable and harness builds, battery systems, and integrated testing with data acquisition. Systems that are built to run and keep up with demand. In addition, our manufacturing division, Edgewater Manufacturing, supports this industry with heavy fabrication capabilities, helping build the critical infrastructure components these projects rely on. If you are scaling production to support data center growth and need to get more out of your operation, let’s connect. #EdgewaterAutomation #Manufacturing
