For 80 years, Herr’s has been more than just great snacks - it’s been about great people. To celebrate this milestone, we asked some of our team members what Herr’s means to them and why they love being part of the team. Their stories are a  reminder that the heart of Herr’s has always been the people behind the  product. Here’s to 80 years of teamwork, pride, and passion - and many more to come. 🥳

From February 24–26, we hosted our third Leading People at Herr’s classroom training in Nottingham. This session welcomed 16 leaders from Corporate, Production, Sales, Safety, HR, and Warehouse/Transport-bringing together both experienced and new leaders who are all continuing their leadership journey. The 2.5-day session was facilitated by Phyllis Wallin, former Global Training Director at M&M Mars, who traveled from California to snowy Pennsylvania to lead the experience. The training kicked off with Troy sharing insights on what it means to be a people leader at Herr’s and lessons from his own leadership journey. Participants engaged in reflective discussions, sharing one fear, one struggle, and one benefit of being a people leader. They also explored how they show up at their best-and at their worst-and defined what leadership specifically looks like at Herr’s. The remainder of the session focused on strengthening key leadership skills, including: -Effective delegation -Setting SMART goals -Practicing feedback and coaching conversations This in-person classroom experience marks the halfway point of a broader nine-month leadership journey, which includes guided self-study across various leadership topics. The February session provided leaders with the opportunity to practice what they’ve learned so far and build momentum for the months ahead. All training is rooted in leading through the lens of our values and the 5Cs, reinforcing what it truly means to lead the Herr’s way. Passing the joy, together 🎁 This holiday season, our employees across all Herr’s locations came together to collect toys for The Salvation Army Greater Philadelphia, helping spread joy to families in need. We are truly amazed by the generosity, teamwork, and holiday spirit shown across our branches, plants, and offices. Thank you to everyone who helped make this season brighter - your impact goes far beyond the holidays.

  • Just before Thanksgiving, we joined the Salvation Army at LOVE Park for their Red Kettle Kickoff. Ed Herr and Chipper presented Herr’s donation to help fuel the organization’s mission during the holiday season. We were also joined by 92.5 WXTU radio hosts Jeff Kurkjian and Nicole Michalik, who helped bring even more excitement to the event. We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back to such a meaningful organization!

  • Herr’s was proud to join the Helping Hands Community Care Challenge this week! It was a high-energy, high-impact day of service bringing together hundreds of corporate volunteers to support patients at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and beyond. Special thanks to Wawa, the event’s largest sponsor, for helping make this incredible day possible. From assembling activity kits to brighten the days of inpatient children to packing essential supply bags for families in need, it was inspiring to see so many hands come together to bring kindness, comfort, and resources to those who need it most.
