❤️ Beebe L.O.V.E. Letter Honors Peter Zingone! ❤️ Peter Zingone is a nurse practitioner at Beebe Healthcare and was recognized today for his quick thinking, leadership, and lifesaving actions. While making his rounds and checking on his patients, Peter heard a call for help from a nurse in the hallway. The nurse’s patient was on their way to a cardiac procedure when they suddenly collapsed. Peter immediately rushed out of his patient’s room to assist. After determining the patient had no pulse, he began chest compressions right away and took command of the situation with calm, focus, and control. He called for the necessary lifesaving equipment and coordinated care until additional help arrived. His swift actions ultimately helped save the patient’s life. When recognized, Peter remained humble, sharing, “It was a team effort,” emphasizing that this is simply what he is trained to do each day. In response, Dr. David Tam, President and CEO of Beebe Healthcare, said, “You might say it’s all in a day’s work… it’s what we are trained to do. Letter Honors Kevin DiFilippo! ❤️ Kevin DiFilippo from Guest Relations at Beebe Healthcare is being recognized for his quick thinking, compassion, and commitment to helping others when it mattered most! While in his car in the parking lot, Kevin noticed an elderly visitor with a cane struggling to make it up the steep sidewalk to the hospital entrance. The visitor stopped, leaning heavily on his cane, clearly out of breath and beginning to lose his balance. As others passed by, Kevin immediately sprang into action. He rushed to the visitor’s side while calling the lobby operator to have a wheelchair brought out right away! Thanks to Kevin’s awareness and fast response, the visitor was safely assisted before a fall could occur while trying to visit a loved one. His actions are a powerful reminder of how attentiveness and compassion can make a life-changing difference in just a moment. Brenda’s thoughtful leadership and dedication reflect the true spirit of Beebe’s L.O.V.E. (Living Our Values Every day) program. She saw a need, stepped forward, and created a lasting solution that will continue to support patients beyond their appointments. Last week, Teena Stout, HR Recruiting Coordinator for the Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships, had the honor of attending a special USO luncheon at Dover Air Force Base to meet the organization’s new CEO, Michael Linnington. The event brought together some of USO Delaware’s top donors, council members, and volunteers who share a deep commitment to supporting our military community. Teena described the atmosphere as energizing and heartfelt, saying “It was a room full of patriotic kindred spirits who truly care.” Michael Linnington, a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant General and former CEO of the Wounded Warrior Project, shared his vision of bringing the USO back into the public spotlight to ensure more people understand the impact the organization makes every day in the lives of service members and their families. Teena noted how kind and gracious he was, taking time to personally thank attendees for their involvement and support and discuss his plans for the future of the USO.
