We were proud to host our Second Annual Green Team Summit, bringing together an expanded group of attendees from across the East Coast for a meaningful exchange of ideas, collaboration, and inspiration around sustainability. The Atlas Hotel officially opens as a first-of-its-kind lifestyle hotel in Boston. Located at the gateway of Harvard University's Enterprise Research Campus developed by global real estate leader Tishman Speyer, The Atlas embodies the neighborhood's love for art, design, academia, global dining, and social exchange. Under Highgate's management, The Atlas features 246 guest rooms and suites, a curated living room lobby, a new concept retail space from the living heritage brand The COOP and two new dining concepts from Pearl and Law Hospitality, the acclaimed team behind Dorchester's Comfort Kitchen, including a panoramic rooftop bar. The hotel's architectural expression was thoughtfully designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects with interiors brought to life by INC Architecture & Design. Yesterday marked the official launch of the Highgate Charitable Foundation campaign, and it stands as a powerful reminder of what defines us as an organization. Across every region and every hotel, our teams continue to demonstrate an extraordinary blend of creativity, compassion, and unwavering purpose. This is Highgate at its finest. At Highgate, caring is at the core of our company culture, and we work each day to instill a spirit of giving back into everything we do. In 2018, we established the Highgate Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, to expand our ability to be a positive force in the lives of people near and far. The Foundation serves as a meaningful vehicle for our associates, guests, suppliers, and business partners to contribute to efforts that promote global good—supporting philanthropic organizations and communities worldwide addressing poverty, education, and health care. Our People First values anchor this work. They remind us that meaningful change often begins with small acts of generosity. In fact, the cost of a single cup of coffee is sometimes all it takes to feed a child for an entire day. This simple truth underscores the profound impact we can make—when each of us chooses to act. At this year’s AHLA's The Hospitality Show, Highgate President Pete Sams joined an industry-leading panel—“The Profit Engine: Aligning Ownership, Brand, and Operator”—to discuss how collaboration and innovation can reshape the economics of hospitality for the next decade.   Moderated by Jeanelle Johnson of PwC, the discussion brought together diverse perspectives from across the industry, including Navin Dimond (Stonebridge Companies), Greg Lattin (Marriott International), and Jeff Wagoner (OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group).   Together, the panel explored: • The growing pressure on hotel profitability and the need to evolve the traditional ownership–brand–operator model • Aligning incentives across stakeholders to strengthen long-term value creation • Institutionalizing change to make today’s innovations—from flexible labor models to tech-enabled efficiency—sustainable • The next era of profitability, where creativity, flexibility, and data-driven decision-making define success   At Highgate, we believe alignment and agility are the keys to enduring performance.
