Last week, a new IGLTA program officially got underway in Los Cabos. 🏳️🌈🇲🇽 We launched the LGBTQ+ Destination Design Workshop together with the IGLTA Foundation and our host destination, Los Cabos, kicking off a new initiative designed to support destinations in their work toward more welcoming and inclusive tourism. International experts, local activists and tourism professionals shared experiences, asked questions and explored how LGBTQ+ inclusion can become part of the way a destination develops, communicates and welcomes travelers. We talked about marketing and communications, product development and DEI best practices, but some of the most meaningful moments came through the conversations and connections that happened along the way, both during the workshop and beyond it. 🫶 We left Los Cabos grateful for the openness, the perspectives shared and the commitment we saw to creating better experiences for LGBTQ+ travelers. Thank you to the Los Cabos Tourism Board, and all the speakers, activists, tourism professionals, members and Global Partners who helped make these first few days of the program so meaningful. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ 📸 A few moments from Los Cabos.

Bangkok, you showed up. 🇹🇭🌈 The second edition of the IGLTA LGBTQ+ Travel Reception Bangkok welcomed members of Thailand and Southeast Asia’s travel community for an evening at Lebua at State Tower. A huge thank you to lebua Hotels and Resorts and the Tourism Authority of Thailand - New Delhi Office for making the evening possible, and to everyone who joined us, shared the room with us and helped make our return to Bangkok such a special one. We loved seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones and spending an evening with the people doing the work across the region. Here are a few moments from the night. 📸

What do we owe the places that welcome us? 🌎 For World Tourism Day, IGLTA member Cameron DeJong (he/him) reflects on a question that goes beyond where we travel: how we travel. Drawing on his experiences returning to Curaçao over the years, Cameron explores what it means to feel genuinely welcomed as an LGBTQ+ traveler, the relationships we build along the way, and the responsibility that comes with entering someone else’s home. His story starts, perhaps unexpectedly, with a fear of water. 🌊 But it becomes something much bigger: a reflection on connection, respect, belonging and giving back to the places that stay with us long after the trip is over. Today is Bi Visibility Day. 🩷💜💙 Bi+ people have always existed and always will. Yet biphobia and bi erasure are still very real, including within LGBTQ+ spaces. Being bi isn't a phase, a stepping stone, or being "half gay and half straight." Bisexuality is an identity in its own right. Today, we celebrate bi+ people in all their diversity, while continuing to challenge the stereotypes and assumptions that contribute to bisexual erasure. Here's to bi joy, bi history, and bi visibility. ✨ #BiVisibilityDay
