  • INTEGRIS Health Edmond Hospital celebrates its 15th anniversary this week! Since opening in 2011, our Edmond hospital has grown alongside the community, expanding access to emergency care, surgery, labor and delivery, women’s health, orthopedics and much more. Today, we celebrate our commitment to serving Edmond and surrounding communities with advanced care close to home. Thank you to our caregivers, physicians, patients and community partners who have been part of our story over the past 15 years. We’re proud of what we’ve built together and look forward to serving Edmond for years to come.

    • A group of people stands together in front of a large "15" sign with balloons, celebrating 15 years of caring for Edmond. An inset photo shows the same group in a hospital lobby. Text reads, "15 Years of caring for Edmond," "Thank You!" and includes the INTEGRIS Health Edmond Hospital logo.
    • A group of four people stands smiling inside INTEGRIS Health Edmond Hospital's lobby. They are near a staircase and large lit-up number "15" decoration, with balloons. Two wear matching t-shirts with "15th Anniversary" printed on them.
    • A group of INTEGRIS Health caregivers are gathered in the brightly lit lobby of INTEGRIS Health Edmond, wearing matching blue "15 Year Anniversary" shirts. A physician in a white coat stands at the center.
  • “You may want to see an orthopedic specialist if hip or knee pain regularly interferes with sleep, walking, work or everyday activities.” Gerardo Myrin, M.D., explains when joint pain warrants an evaluation, why a consultation doesn’t necessarily mean surgery and how patient-specific planning and robotic-assisted technology can support hip and knee replacement.

  • INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center recently welcomed ECMO survivors, their families and the medical teams who cared for them for a special ECMO Survivors Celebration. ECMO is a lifesaving therapy that temporarily supports the heart and lungs when they are unable to function on their own, giving critically ill patients time to heal. The celebration brought together survivors and the caregivers who stood beside them during some of the most critical moments of their lives. It was a special opportunity to reconnect, share stories and celebrate the lives made possible through ECMO. 💙

  • A fresh manicure can make you feel put-together, and the long-lasting finish of gel manicures makes them an appealing choice. While they offer weeks of flawless color, it’s important to understand the potential downsides. From UV light exposure to harsh chemicals, that perfect manicure might come with hidden costs to your health. https://bit.ly/3RGcTTG

  • For Michael Megaly, M.D., MS, complex coronary care is about finding options for patients who may have been told there are none. He specializes in treating difficult blockages in the heart, including arteries that are completely obstructed and require advanced techniques and specialized equipment. Dr. Megaly developed an interest in complex coronary disease while training alongside one of the pioneers in the field. He later dedicated additional training specifically to these procedures, with a focus not only on successfully treating the blockage, but doing so as safely as possible for each patient. The same advanced techniques can also be applied to arteries in the legs, where restoring blood flow may help heal wounds and, in some cases, prevent amputation. His goal is to help patients live with fewer symptoms and a better quality of life. “There’s almost always an option and there is almost always another try that we can do. I urge everybody to be their own advocate as well.” To learn more about Dr. Megaly, visit https://lnkd.in/eJYmRy8x
