Every utility is different, but a few topics kept coming up throughout PNCWA 2026. The challenges may look different from one community to the next, but many utilities are asking the same questions about optimization and reliability, funding, and long-term planning. We highlighted a few themes and observations that surfaced again and again throughout the conference. 👉 𝐒𝐞𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭: https://lnkd.in/gxJDesf4 #WaterInfrastructure #WastewaterTreatment #PNCWA #UtilityPlanning #Engineering

Four systems were facing elevated DBP risk. Solving the problem wasn’t as simple as adjusting treatment. At IMS-AWWA 2026, Bryan Phinney, P.E. and Michael Clark, P.E. shared lessons from a study that helped Amador Water Agency understand what was behind the issue—and what came next. 👉𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲: https://lnkd.in/g556mXXn #WaterTreatment #WaterUtilities #DrinkingWater #AWWA

Congratulations are in order. Keller intern Darcy Whitehead recently received an Undergraduate Scholarship from the Intermountain Section of the IMS - American Water Works Association. Darcy is currently pursuing a degree in civil engineering at Idaho State University and plans to continue working on municipal water and wastewater projects throughout Idaho. This recognition is a testament to her hard work and dedication to honing her craft. We’re proud to support the next generation of engineers as they continue to grow their careers. 👉𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺? Surveyors see things differently. They know that what’s on a screen and what’s on the ground aren’t always the same thing. Keller’s survey group recently shared five things they notice that others often overlook, and how those insights help engineers design better projects. 👉 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: https://lnkd.in/gtjjwpNY #KellerAssociates #Surveying #CivilEngineering #Infrastructure

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 & 𝐍𝐨𝐰: 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 💧 Aurora, Oregon, needed more water storage and distribution capacity. Once the new facilities are connected to the existing system and fully operational, Aurora’s water system will be better equipped to meet current and future needs. Keller helped the City deliver a 1.2-million-gallon reservoir, four-pump booster station, and 2,000 feet of new 16-inch water pipeline, strengthening the system and improving its ability to meet peak demand and fire-flow needs. The result? More reliable water service, better pressure management, and additional capacity to support Aurora for years to come.
