Brittany believes that a leader’s greatest strength is the ability to empower those around them. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but this video captures the true heart and energy of our 25th Annual KIPP Texas Houston Benefit. We are still reflecting on the incredible night at the Thompson Houston where more than 400 Houstonians came together to celebrate possibility, purpose, and the power of education. We were guided by our incredible co-chairs, Jason Wells and Jenny Koehler, along with Cynthia Walker and Mac Walker, whose leadership and commitment helped bring this evening to life. From the moving tribute to our Board Member, Allison Thacker to the electrifying performance by Ha*Ash, the night was a beautiful reminder of what happens when we lead with purpose. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community and more than 60 sponsors, we soared past our goal, raising over $1.4 million to energize young minds! The future of finance is in good hands! 💼✨ Our students from KIPP Journey Collegiate had an incredible opportunity to participate in the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce "Love What You Do" program, hosted by Regions Bank. 🏦📈 It was more than just a visit,t was a deep dive into the industry. Our students gained a front-row seat to the worlds of: - Retail & Commercial Banking - Wealth Management -Financial Literacy Programs like this are vital for empowering the next generation with the tools and confidence to navigate their professional journeys. A huge thank you to the teams at GHWCC and Regions Bank for opening your doors and investing in our students' futures! 🌟

Grounded in our Energizing Young Minds theme, the evening paid special tribute to Allison Thacker, a steadfast champion of educational equity whose leadership has helped shape KIPP’s impact for more than two decades. The energy carried through the night as internationally acclaimed duo Ha*Ash took the stage for an unforgettable performance. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community and more than 60 sponsors, we are proud to share that we surpassed our $1 million goal, raising over $1.4 million in support of our students, the KIPPsters. More than a milestone anniversary, this evening was a reflection of what happens when a community comes together with heart, belief, and a shared commitment to our KIPPsters. UNSTOPPABLE: Yancy is Taking the Regional Stage! 🏆✨ Her journey to the top began on February 19 at the Junior League of Houston, where she was named the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston (BGCGH) 2026 Julius Young Youth of the Year. Now, fresh off her historic win as the Texas State Youth of the Year, this Little KIPPster from KIPP Sharpstown College Prep is officially in the home stretch for the Regional Competition this May! 🥇 As the top youth leader in the Lone Star State, Yancy is ready to represent all of Texas. Her momentum is a brilliant reflection of the partnership between BGCGH and KIPP Texas Public Schools in fostering the next generation of visionary leaders.
