We’re celebrating Kolbe Strengths Week—a powerful reminder that understanding your instinctive strengths can transform how you work, lead, and live. 💪 Learning about your strengths is the first step, but Kolbe goes deeper. It’s not a personality test or a measure of intelligence or skills. The Kolbe Method is the leading approach to identifying and activating the conative part of your mind—how you naturally take action. It’s all about instinct. Joanne Ferguson, Co-Founder and Director of Possibilities for Advisors.to and a Certified Kolbe Specialist since 2005, helps advisors unlock clarity, confidence, and momentum by aligning their work with their natural wiring. #KolbeStrengthsWeek Want a refresh of your MO? If you have a non-profit organization that could benefit, or family members who could as well, reach out! Call or email Joanne: 416-522-3726 / joanne@advisors.to

Knowing how you need to get things done can completely shift how you approach everyday challenges and create lifelong transformation. Since 2009, Deidre Koppelman and the team @PEARCoreSolutions have worked with thousands of business owners/leaders/teams showing them the magic of the conative part of their brain. This year, we are proud to be part of #KolbeStrengthsWeek where both @Kolbe and PEAR donate time and resources to a non-profit team to help them leverage the natural talents on their team. Family Promise of Brevard County (https://lnkd.in/gYjVAH3N) helps families experiencing homelessness by providing prevention, shelter and stabilization services to help families achieve long-term independence. We are grateful to have been selected to provide team transformation to an organization that is providing transformation to homeless families. It fills our hearts! #KolbeStrengthsWeek

  • You're not lazy (no matter what your friends and family think), you're just unaware of how you're built to get things done. Procrastination isn't usually a motivation problem. It's a fit problem. When a task runs against how you naturally take action, your brain resists it. That resistance is worth paying attention to. Before you guilt yourself into pushing through, ask: 👉 Is there a better way for someone wired like me to do this? 👉 Can I delegate part of it? 👉 Do I need a "who" instead of a "how"? What tasks are you constantly pushing off??

  • You’re born with instinctive strengths. That means children have a natural way of doing things. And that means when forced to work against their strengths, they will struggle. This is the story of one boy who was lucky enough to be given the Kolbe Y™ Index and set up for success. Imagine how many kids struggle in school never having enjoyed that privilege. ___  This is one post in a series celebrating Kolbe Corp’s 50th anniversary. Each week, we’ll be looking back at one of the most transformative conative contributions from the past 50 years.    Coming soon: A great entrepreneur finally learns how to actually enjoy his success.

  • Most career advice boils down to work smarter, pivot faster, hustle more. Which works until it doesn't, and then you're staring at the ceiling at 2 am wondering when the job started running you. Here's a different idea: stop fighting how you're naturally wired and start using it. Join Amy Bruske for a free, live webinar during Kolbe Strengths Week. She'll walk you through a simple idea called Do More, More Naturally. After 50 years of studying how people actually perform at their best, we'll tell you straight up: it's the cheat code for a sustainable career.

  • Stop trying to fix yourself! What if nothing is actually wrong with you… you’ve just been working in ways that don’t fit how you naturally operate? Your Kolbe A™ Index results aren't about your potential. It shows how you instinctively take action. How you solve problems. How you make decisions when it really matters. And that insight changes how you approach your work. A lot of people spend years trying to improve in ways that go against their instincts. They push harder, follow someone else’s system, and end up feeling stuck or drained. The real shift is simpler than that. Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with me?” start asking, “What actually works for me?” When you start working with your instincts, things begin to feel different. Decisions come more easily. You use your energy more intentionally. Work feels less frustrating, and collaboration starts to click. The last thing you need is a new system that doesn't work for you. So take a step back and consider this: are you working with your instincts… or constantly pushing against them?

  • Most productivity advice tells you to do more with less. That's 100% the wrong direction. Sustainable performance means saying no a lot. Not because you don't have the time, but because you don't have the mental energy. Those are two very different things. We've been conditioned to believe saying no is rude. So we say yes to everything we can fit in, and wonder why we're running on empty. The shift isn't in your calendar. It's in what you're willing to protect.
