GLP vs GMP looks like one letter of difference on a resume. On a production floor it's a different job. KORE1 scientific recruiter Dave Manchester explains it for hiring managers. GLP protects a study's data. GMP protects every batch that ships. A GLP scientist brings signed records, SOP discipline, and comfort with being audited. The batch mindset is new, so tell the candidate what the plant role really is before the offer. That honesty pays. A 1998 meta-analysis of 40 studies found realistic job previews were related to higher performance and lower voluntary turnover. At KORE1, 92% of placements are with the same employer at the twelve-month mark. https://lnkd.in/gu42fZnP #GLPvsGMP #LifeSciences #Hiring

Every NetSuite AP automation demo uses the same clean, one-page invoice. Your real AP inbox doesn't look like that. Colin Boothe's new piece for KORE1 compares NetSuite's native tools with a bolt-on AP product on three questions: how many bills carry a PO, whether your approval chain fits on one page, and where your vendors get paid. Then he counts the NetSuite-side hours. Native lands between 86 and 177. A bolt-on lands between 92 and 176. It's a wash. The bolt-on moves the work from approval rules to field mapping, then adds a subscription. The full breakdown, with the hours table: https://lnkd.in/dMt3QvQr #NetSuite #AccountsPayable #FinanceOperations

Most chief revenue officer interview questions hand a professional closer an invitation to pitch. KORE1 just published a set that asks for proof instead. Start with fractions. How many reps carried a full-year quota, and how many made it? What did you commit, and what did you land, in each of your last 6 quarters? Forecasting is harder than most panels assume. In Gartner's State of Sales Operations survey, only 45% of sales leaders and sellers had high confidence in their own forecasting accuracy. The guide has 10 questions, a 40-minute session on one stalled deal, and a table of who can confirm each answer. https://lnkd.in/dvzxRUJN #ExecutiveSearch #SalesLeadership #Hiring

Would your chief revenue officer job description hold up against a candidate with a calculator? Most don't. CRO candidates check the plan before they reply. At KORE1 we watched one sitting CRO take about 90 seconds to work out that a posted plan couldn't be hit. The posting had no numbers in it, so she did the sum herself on the first call. Our new template prints 5 figures, defines which revenue the seat owns, and puts on-target earnings in writing. Base on our searches runs $250,000 to $400,000, with variable close to half of on-target earnings. https://lnkd.in/dyBGn_8v #ChiefRevenueOfficer #SalesLeadership #Hiring

Most controller interview questions ask a candidate to describe the job. At KORE1, we'd rather watch them do a piece of it. Auditors rank evidence from least to most, and inquiry sits at the bottom. Most interviews never get past it. So have each finalist trace one transaction from the dock to the balance sheet. Ask who can add a vendor and who can pay one. It matters. The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners studied 2,402 occupational fraud cases for its 2026 Report to the Nations. The typical scheme lasted 12 months before detection, with a median loss of $104,000. The full guide adds a 10-minute paper exercise. https://lnkd.in/dTpRR23y #Accounting #FinanceLeadership #Hiring

What do marketing salaries really look like in 2026? KORE1's Samantha Litman put the ranges from her recent searches next to federal wage data. The Bureau of Labor Statistics puts the median marketing specialist at $78,760 and the median marketing manager at $166,790 as of May 2025. Most of that gap is level. Hands-on seats like media planners and ad operations sit near the federal middle. Leadership seats don't. A creative director came in at $200,000 plus upside. Her new post covers 10 roles, what plus upside means, and 5 questions to answer before you write a number on a posting. https://lnkd.in/gryupAjJ #MarketingSalaries #Hiring #Compensation

Entity resolution sounds like a software purchase. KORE1 guest author Khurram Tehseen says it's two jobs, and software only does the first. Matching decides that five spellings are one borrower. Relating decides that a holding company and its operating subsidiary are two companies inside one credit. That second answer is in the credit agreement. No matching engine will find it there. Identifiers do most of the matching. In a Census Bureau paper on person matching, checking a Social Security number settled 76% of the records that carried one in two large commercial files. The name comes last, after every identifier you have. https://lnkd.in/gCQWrbSK #EntityResolution #PrivateCredit #DataGovernance

Communicating with executives is harder for engineering leaders than it looks. Kris Drouet's new piece on the KORE1 blog explains why, and what to do about it. In a 1990 Stanford experiment, people tapped out well-known songs for a listener. The tappers predicted they'd be understood 50% of the time. Listeners named 3 of 120 songs. That's 2.5%. A board update full of latency numbers and migration counts lands the same way. Kris's fix is to restate the work in the 4 units a board already uses: revenue, cost, risk, and time. Then send a 1-page pre-read and save the meeting for questions. https://lnkd.in/gCBxHX7R #ExecutiveCommunication #EngineeringLeadership #SoftwareEngineering

SQL Server 2016 end of life arrived on July 14, 2026, and the question KORE1 hears most is what the patches cost now. Microsoft's price list puts Extended Security Updates at $278 a month per two-core pack on Standard edition. That's $3,336 a year, about 85% of a new $3,945 license. They aren't free on Azure VMs this time, either. Express, Web, and Developer editions can't buy them at all. An upgrade is usually one contract DBA for about three months. Azure SQL and PostgreSQL take bigger teams and more time. We priced all four paths and listed the seats each one needs. https://lnkd.in/gH4gkSCD #SQLServer #DatabaseAdministration #ITStaffing
