Safety is at the core of everything we do at Massport. As part of FAA-required safety improvements, Boston Logan International Airport's Runway 9-27 will be temporarily closed through mid-November to allow critical infrastructure work to be completed. The runway is expected to reopen before Thanksgiving. This important project will help maintain the safety and reliability of airport operations for the millions of passengers who travel through Logan each year. During construction, travelers may experience flight delays, particularly during the afternoon and evening hours. Passengers are encouraged to check their flight status directly with their airline before heading to the airport. Communities may notice changes in flight paths depending on FAA operational decisions.
