Drone delivery is entering a new era and Matternet is shaping its future. In a recent conversation with Jonah Bliss at Ottomate, our CEO Andreas Raptopoulos shared how the industry is moving beyond pilot programs and hype cycles toward real, scalable infrastructure. Andreas reflected on Matternet’s path from early humanitarian operations to building the first FAA type‑certified drone delivery system in the U.S., and how that foundation is now powering commercial services across healthcare, food, and retail. With BVLOS rules advancing and unit economics improving, drone delivery networks are poised to shift from novelty to everyday utility. At Matternet, we’re not waiting for that shift. We’re building the systems defining it. Read the full conversation: https://lnkd.in/geQJ4ckz

Our CEO, Andreas Raptopoulos, recently sat down with Business Traveller Magazine about the accelerating role of drones in next‑generation delivery networks. In the interview, he highlighted the scale of change already underway: “There are probably 2,000 deliveries a day by drone in the U.S. today. That number is going to be three to five million by 2030.” This growth reflects a fundamental shift in how goods will move in the years ahead. Faster, more efficient, sustainable, and eco-friendly delivery is becoming an operational reality, and drone technology is at the center of that transformation. At Matternet, we’re not just preparing for this future. We're actively building it. Read the full article below. https://lnkd.in/e6YPpDkX
