  • The McGriff Specialty Executive Risk Advisory group hosted the 36th Executive Edge Conference last week at the Pier 66 Resort in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Executive Edge Conference is an annual opportunity to get together with our clients for a few days to discuss current topics in the industry, provide an opportunity to meet with carrier partners and spend more time with McGriff colleagues. This year we were joined by over 80 clients, 45 sponsor attendees, and 40 McGriff attendees along with valued guests and speakers. Our keynote speaker was legendary college football coach Steve Spurrier, who delighted the crowd with humorous stories from his Hall of Fame coaching career and imparted some valuable wisdom on inspiring teams to work together and achieve success. #ExecutiveEdge #ExecutiveRisk #McGriffSpecialty

In this article, McGriff Senior Vice President Chad Williamson outlines the top exposures (investment decisions, fiduciary breaches, succession disputes, employment claims, and cyber/privacy risks) and the insurance solutions – D&O, E&O, EPLI, and Cyber – that can protect both the organization and non‑family leaders.

  • Plaintiff attorneys are leaning on AI tools – including predictive-damages models, NLP medical chronologies, social-media analysis, and image/video enhancement – to boost claim severity and speed preparation. Those tools can sharpen valuations but raise serious concerns about bias, client confidentiality, discoverability of prompts/outputs, and admissibility. Defense teams need expert review, targeted discovery, and transparency measures that preserve meaningful human oversight. Read our article from Peter Siegel and Robert McDonald for practical defense strategies, policy recommendations, and more.
