Meet Theresa Schroeder, CDP, MCA, CWDP, the industry leader kicking off Morehouse Build-It Program. What does it really take to get on a developer or general contractor’s radar — and, more importantly, stay there? Theresa Schroeder, Vice President of Community & Citizenship for Turner Construction will lead this inaugural Morehouse Build-It session. For more than two decades Theresa has worked at the intersection of construction, economic opportunity, community engagement, and inclusive business growth. She understands what it takes for small, local, and diverse businesses to move from being ready for an opportunity to being positioned for the next one. This program is about more than winning a project... It’s about understanding how the industry works, building the right relationships, and creating pathways to repeat opportunities. #MorehouseBuildIt #Morehouse #Construction #SmallBusiness #AtlantaBusiness #Contractors #EconomicOpportunity

Founded in 2020, Just for Teens is expanding its retail footprint from approximately 4,000 locations in 2025 to nearly 10,000 locations nationwide by September 2026. The Metro Atlanta Small Business Flex Fund is a collaborative initiative powered by MIEC, Georgia Micro Enterprise Network, Inc., Latin American Chamber of Commerce Georgia, and LISC Atlanta, providing small businesses with flexible capital and technical assistance. Brian’s journey demonstrates the impact of connecting entrepreneurs with the knowledge, capital, and support needed to turn opportunity into growth. The Morehouse Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center is excited to join this collaborative effort and looks forward to building alongside our partners. Creating the next generation of innovators requires more than classrooms. It requires meaningful opportunities for students to learn, build, and lead in industries shaping the future. This partnership represents an important investment in both talent and opportunity, and we're proud to help advance that vision. Congratulations to all our partners on this exciting milestone! We're excited to help shape the experiences, partnerships, and opportunities that prepare students to lead in the industries of tomorrow. We are excited to share that Georgia State University, Spelman College and Morehouse College, have been awarded a Planning Grant through the Experiential Learning Program Development initiative. Funded by JPMorganChase through its philanthropic operations and administered in partnership with the Partnership for Innovation (PIN) and the Georgia Cleantech Innovation Hub (GACIH), this planning grant will help our institutions design innovative experiential learning opportunities that prepare students for careers in the rapidly growing cleantech sector. This initiative goes beyond the traditional internship model by creating pathways for students to engage in extended, paid, hands-on learning experiences where they can apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges, develop in-demand skills, and explore careers in cleantech innovation and entrepreneurship. At The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute at Georgia State University, we are proud to collaborate with our partners to help build a more inclusive talent pipeline while preparing the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and sustainability leaders. We look forward to sharing more as this exciting initiative takes shape. #GeorgiaState #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #Cleantech #ExperientialLearning #HigherEducation #WorkforceDevelopment #Sustainability #PartnershipForInclusiveInnovation #JPMorganChase #MorehouseCollege #SpelmanCollege Georgia State University - J.
