  • What index funds did for everyday Americans, tokenization will do for the rest of the world. Fifty years ago today, Vanguard's John Bogle launched the first index fund, opening the market to everyday investors for the first time. Today, tokenization is opening the world's largest markets to billions of people outside the U.S. who still can't access them: → The assets institutions already hold → Pricing that matches institutional markets → Trading across every time zone → Ownership open to anyone, anywhere The idea was that anyone should be able to own the market, not only institutions. Tokenization is extending that same principle to the world.

I am pleased to share that I have joined Ondo Finance as Chief Policy Officer. Financial markets are entering a period of significant technological and regulatory change. The policy and market structure decisions made today will shape its direction and determine how broadly its benefits are delivered. Tokenization represents one of the most significant advancements in financial markets in a generation, with the potential to expand access, create new distribution channels, and improve how assets move across the global economy. Realizing that potential will require thoughtful collaboration across the public and private sectors. The goal should be to establish a regulatory foundation that supports growth and innovation while preserving market integrity, investor protection, and financial stability. At Ondo, I look forward to continuing to work with policymakers, regulators, and market participants globally to help advance tokenized markets. Ondo’s thoughtful approach to building products and infrastructure made this opportunity especially compelling, and I am excited to build on that work. I am deeply grateful to my colleagues and members at GFMA for their partnership over the past nine years. It has been a privilege and honor to represent the world’s leading financial institutions and contribute to the policy discussions shaping global capital markets. I look forward to this next chapter with Ondo and to building the foundation for open, trusted, and globally accessible onchain markets. More to come!

  • Ondo Finance is pleased to welcome Allison Parent as Chief Policy Officer. Allison joins Ondo after nine years as Executive Director of the Global Financial Markets Association, where she represented leading financial institutions and helped shape policy to support global capital markets. Her career spans government, central banking, and the private sector. She held senior roles at Barclays and the Bank of England and served as General Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on the Budget, advising on Dodd-Frank and TARP. She has also advised the Financial Stability Board, IOSCO, and the CFTC. Her appointment reinforces Ondo’s commitment to innovation grounded in market integrity, consumer protection, and financial stability. “Tokenization is the most significant advancement in market infrastructure in a generation. • Tokenization will do for financial markets what the internet did for information. “Music went from records to 8-tracks to cassettes to streaming. Now, anybody in the world can access any song at any moment.” Speaking with CNBC, John Hoffman, Managing Director, Head of Product Portfolios at Ondo Finance, explained why the same transformation is coming to financial markets: “This technology will democratize access for anyone with internet access and a wallet.” By bringing financial markets onto internet-native infrastructure, tokenization can improve how they operate and expand who they serve. • USDY is now live on Tempo Ondo’s permissionless yieldcoin is now native to the payments-first Layer 1 incubated by Stripe and Paradigm. USDY brings yield secured by short-term U.S. Treasuries to infrastructure built for global payments. What USDY on Tempo unlocks: → Daily, Treasury-backed yield → 24/7 transferability → Bridging through Stargate → Utility across payments and DeFi From wallets and treasury products to payment flows and lending markets, builders can put USDY to work across the Tempo ecosystem. Bringing USDY to Tempo connects yield secured by U.S. Treasuries with infrastructure designed for global payments, expanding how capital can move, earn, and be used onchain. • Every market gets bigger when it digitizes. Ondo Finance’s John Hoffman, Head of Product Portfolios, joined CNBC to discuss how tokenization could expand financial markets. “When a market digitizes, it becomes larger, more accessible, cheaper, and faster.” The internet created global rails for information. Tokenization is doing the same for financial assets, connecting traditional and onchain markets. “Capital flows to where it’s treated best. I think that if you have lower cost, faster speed, and more efficiency, capital is gonna follow that path because it’s gonna be treated better there.” As that infrastructure matures, tokenization will do more than change how assets are represented. It will change how they are accessed, traded, and used. Watch the full conversation with John Hoffman on CNBC: https://lnkd.in/gfbDQX9U
