When you attend a show alone, it should be possible to meet new people. But it often is very challenging and intimidating! Many attendees arrive as groups, there aren't natural times to introduce yourself, and even if you do exchange names, you spend most of the event quietly watching the performance. Not wanting to go alone is a highly cited reason that people skip arts and culture events all together. I'm thrilled that the US Chamber of Connection and Pacific Northwest Ballet are collaborating to address this need. Meet Me at the Ballet this Saturday to connect before the show, sit with others who are open to connection, get a special backstage tour during intermission, and continue connecting at a post-show happy hour. What events should we attend together next?

  • Lucien Postlewaite To Retire June 7, 2026 💎 “For as long as I can remember, ballet has been with me, guiding me to extraordinary heights. My career has offered me community, culture, connection, and the space to fully express my art. ‘Grateful’ is too small a word for the fullness of my appreciation for all of you who have helped shape me along this path. What an honor to have a whole season to celebrate with you. My unique approach to this existence has offered me a profoundly rich experience of life and prepared me for what’s to come. I am eager to leap into my next great becoming as a Transformational Life Coach.” – Lucien Postlewaite “Lucien has been a central part of almost every ballet in our repertoire for decades, offering quicksilver technique, a winsome presence, and truly inspired acting. Partnerships for Lucien extend far beyond the execution of steps, delving into a range of emotions that transcend the stage. How nice to know he will continue to elevate lives through his work as a life coach after he steps away from the stage. How lucky to have the opportunity to see him dance throughout this season and to celebrate his extraordinary career at our Encore performance in June.” – Peter Boal Lucien’s Legacy Season commences with Jewels, where he will perform the lead in Diamonds on opening night, September 26. PNB will celebrate his extraordinary career at our Season Encore performance on June 7, 2026.
