  • Pomelo’s Clinical and Data Science teams are on the road again! Our team is honored to present two ePosters at #ACOG2026 that highlight how proactive, virtual intervention can drive both clinical outcomes and cost savings: 1. Impact of Virtual Perinatal Intervention Timing on Cost and NICU Utilization (IEP02): A look at how early engagement in virtual care significantly reduces neonatal acuity and total cost of care. 2. Early Clinical Outcomes of a Proactive, Multidisciplinary Virtual Care Model for Menopause and Perimenopause (IEP08): Demonstrating the impact of our newest care program for the 6k women entering menopause each day. Whether you are a fellow clinician, a health plan leader, or an innovator in the space, we would love to spend time with you. See you in D.C.!

  • Behind every data point is a person. This Patient Experience Week, we’re reflecting on why we do what we do at Pomelo Care. We often talk about the "big" numbers: • 24% reduction in preterm births • 46% reduction in ER utilization • 2-4x clinical ROI for our partners Improving outcomes and driving cost-savings is essential—it's how we scale. But the true heart of our work isn’t found in a spreadsheet. It’s found in the peace of mind a mother feels at 2 AM when she can text her care team. It’s in the relief of a patient who feels heard for the first time in their healthcare journey. The statistics tell us our model is working. This video tells us why it matters. Watch to see how Nikol experienced the Pomelo difference. #PXWeek2026 #PEW2026 #PatientExperience #PatientsFirst #PatientCenteredCare

  • What an incredible week in New Orleans at the Business Group on Health annual conference! We spent our days making new connections and our nights soaking up every bit of that NOLA flavor. The highlight was definitely leading the charge from the Sheraton to Generations Hall, sponsoring a high-energy Second Line parade—complete with a local marching band, stilt walkers, our logo front-and-center on the tubas, and hot pink branding that kept the energy high and the spirit even brighter! We topped it all off with a fun dinner at the iconic Brennan’s with a flaming performance of their world-famous Bananas Foster. Special thanks to our partners Aligned Marketplace, Vori Health, and Ilant Health for such a wonderful event! We’re starting this week with full hearts, inspired ideas, and a ton of Mardi Gras beads. Huge thanks to everyone for such a wonderful time. Let’s keep that Big Easy momentum going all year long!

  • Every family deserves a healthy start. In a new spotlight by HR Brew, Koch shares how they identified a gap in maternal health care and partnered with Pomelo Care to fill it. The impact? A significant reduction in NICU admissions and safer births for thousands of employees—even for those in rural areas with limited access to care. We are honored to be the "leading solution" for Koch as they continue to innovate their benefits with new additions like doula support and menopause care. It’s proof that when you treat patients at a personal level, and provide data-driven, evidence-based care, you can change lives. In this webinar, we took a deep dive into how shifting from reactive to proactive care can reduce preterm births and NICU spend. Our leadership team, Isabelle Von Kohorn MD PhD (CMO) and Shyamali Choudhury (CCO), discussed: • How we achieved a 24% reduction in preterm births • Identifying medical and social risk markers months before they become crises • Moving beyond engagement metrics to drive real clinical ROI Take a listen to learn more!

  • Demand for doulas is accelerating as Medicaid and commercial plans rapidly expand coverage, and employers seek better maternal health benefits. Marta Bralic Kerns spoke with Healthcare Brew about what’s driving that shift and how Pomelo’s approach, which pairs in-person doula support with evidence-based virtual care, improves outcomes and reduces avoidable costs. https://lnkd.in/ekvXQYav

  • A new case study from Pomelo Care and our partners at Koch shows how proactive, evidence-based maternity care can improve outcomes for families while delivering measurable value for employers. Results from the program include: • 31% reduction in NICU length of stay • 8% reduction in NICU admissions • 7% reduction in cesarean deliveries Since launching the program in 2022, more than 3,000 Koch employees and family members have received proactive, virtual-first clinical care throughout pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and early pediatric care. And building on this success, Koch recently expanded its partnership with Pomelo to include doula support and midlife care. This work shows that when maternity care is proactive, specialized, and accessible, it improves outcomes for mothers and infants while reducing complications like NICU stays and cesarean births. And it’s proof that better care can also deliver measurable value for employers. Read the case study here: https://hubs.li/Q049QZPV0

Upcoming webinar - Register here: https://hubs.li/Q047Yfxp0 The ROI of early intervention: Reducing preterm births by 24% When: Tuesday, April 14th | 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET For years, benefits leaders have accepted seven-figure NICU claims as a cost of doing business—creating major volatility in maternity spend. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Many high-cost outcomes are driven by preventable gaps in care. The key is shifting from reactive, “wait-and-see” models to proactive strategies that identify and manage risk early in pregnancy. Join our webinar to learn: • How to spot risk earlier: Identify high-risk markers months before they turn into costly claims. • How to reduce NICU admissions: Use proven strategies to address medical and social risk factors in real time. • How to measure real impact: Move beyond engagement metrics to outcomes that truly reduce costs. Take control of one of your most unpredictable cost drivers.
