At the historic PORTS site in Piketon, Ohio, we celebrated a public-private partnership to redevelop U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) land, modernize energy infrastructure, and develop advanced computing in Southern Ohio. In partnership with DOE and U.S. Department of Commerce, SoftBank Group Corp. and SB Energy will develop 10 GW of new power generation and invest $4.2 billion into the local grid to support a 10 GW AI data center. This broad plan will help modernize the aging electric grid in the area and create thousands of long-term jobs in the region, without impacting ratepayers. The PORTS site played a major role in America’s technological advancements during the Cold War. Earlier this month the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas convened energy, technology, and finance experts to explore how the U.S. will power the advancement of AI. Our Head of Capital Markets, Gianluca Signorelli, shared how we are financing large-scale AI infrastructure and offered insights on how rapid advances in AI are shaping capital markets. SB Energy is a fully integrated infrastructure development and ownership platform. Yesterday we came together as a team to recognize the veterans at SB Energy and our country. 🇺🇸 Thank you to our very own Cyndi Romero, MELP, CA, PMP for leading a Fireside Chat alongside special guests Paul and Jane Van Maldeghem. Our team heard about the family history and the sense of duty that inspired Paul and Jane to join the United States Air Force. Both held distinguished careers and are a powerhouse unit. Jane provided practical advice about how to support veterans every day. She shared that while veterans move a lot, one of the best ways you can support military families is by inviting them into your circle at work, home, church, neighborhood. We thank you for sharing your story with us! Please join us in honoring our veterans. 

We are excited to share that our Milam County Data Center site in Texas is part of Stargate! Together with OpenAI and SoftBank Group Corp., we broke ground today on a fast build data center site that will exceed 1GW of critical IT load as part of Stargate’s $500 billion commitment. SB Energy will be providing powered infrastructure for the data center. Our annual Family Summer Picnics this year have been a blast so far! In Delaware our team took a relaxing boat ride along the scenic Delaware River. In California, our team explored the beautiful vineyard at BoaVentura Winery, while our Colorado colleagues enjoyed treats and adventures at a local park. ️ We love spending this time with our team and their loved ones each year, growing our connections to power the work we do together.

We’d like to give a huge thank you to our summer interns for their time with us this summer! In our offices across the country, they have explored multiple areas of SB Energy, including engineering, legal strategy, financial data & analytics, grid integration, and construction management. Four of our interns recently had the opportunity to visit our Innovation Center near Denver and see how innovation is charging our mission. At our Innovation Center, our interns saw firsthand the hardware and AI-driving energy management software shaping our projects and the overall energy landscape.   Our Transmission and Interconnection Planning Intern Saeed Nematshahi said, “Seeing innovative energy technologies in action gave me a deeper appreciation for how pilot projects bridge the gap between research and real-world application.” 

Summer is here – and the sheep at our operating 314 MWdc Eiffel project are ramping up their grazing duties! 🐑    In Lamar County, Texas, hundreds of sheep have the freedom to graze in the fields of our Eiffel project. We’ve had the pleasure of teaming up with Texas sheepherders to both maintain our project site while satisfying the hungry livestock.    In an article featuring a different SB Energy facility, Texas sheep farmer Reid Redden states, “Solar grazing is probably the biggest opportunity that the sheep industry had in the United States in several generations.”    It’s been a joy to grow our partnerships with Texas sheepherders, delivering added benefits locally long after our projects commence operations.  Learn more here from The Associated Press: https://lnkd.in/dEwrhTsu 📷 Sheep grazing on site!

We were thrilled to host The Training Center of Central Texas at our three operating Orion energy facilities in Texas.     Thirty veterans from the Training Center, along with Harker Heights Councilmember Lynda Nash, attended the tour of Orion 3.     This visit provided the veterans, who are currently enrolled in training programs, an up-close experience of a large, utility-scale project as they work to complete lessons on electrical theory and inverter training. Soon, they’ll move on to substation training.   We desire to see our projects benefit as many people in our community as possible. We’re ecstatic to provide fellow Texans with the firsthand experiences needed to boost their energy careers!
