The Small Business Development Corporation of Orange County (SBDC-OC) has achieved record-setting growth for the third consecutive year, reinforcing its role as one of the state's leading economic development organizations. For the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, SBDC-OC administered $147.3 million in state of California loan guarantees, representing a 43% increase over the prior fiscal year. Those guarantees supported $204.8 million in total small business lending, a 49% increase from fiscal year 2024–25. In addition, the fiscal year's activities saw the creation of 768 new jobs, a 169% increase. Today in loan committee we approved a $10,530,000 loan for a new self-storage project, a $4,800,000 term loan and $1,100,000 companion loan for the construction of a dental practice facility and debt refinance for the dental practice, a $4,000,000 loan to a non-profit installing solar panels for a university, a $500,000 loan for the purchase of truck trailers, a $508,000 loan to refinance debt for a mental health practice, and a $215,000 loan to refinance MCA debt to a logistics provider.  

Last week in loan committee we approved a $3,555,276 loan and a $3,062,000 loan to an event production company to refinance a large Main Street loan, a $1,535,000 loan to purchase a building for a neuromonitoring medical practice along with a $250,000 line of credit to the neuromonitoring practice, and a $1,400,000 loan to acquire a dermatology practice.

Today in loan committee we approved a $6,250,000 loan for the purchase of a grocery store building, a $1,800,000 loan for the purchase and improvement of a building for a dental practice, a $300,000 loan to acquire a 7-11 and another $250,000 loan to acquire a 7-11.

Last week in loan committee we approved a $10,350,000 loan for the construction of a new self storage facility, an increase in a line of credit to $2,250,000 for a metal fabricator, a $1,000,000 line of credit to a marketing agency, and a $730,000 loan for the acquisition of an existing Farmer's Boy restaurant.

Today in loan committee we approved a $450,000 loan for the purchase of a 7-11 and a $1,500,000 term loan and $500,000 line of credit to an interior design and luxury home staging company.
