  • Granting equity to employees in 10 countries used to mean 10 separate legal projects. Projects that on average would take 3 to 6 months per country, and with outside counsel charging more than $1,000 per hour, legal fees often climbed into the six figures. This was the standard for years — because getting global equity compliance wrong costs companies millions on average. Far more than getting it right from the start. Slice was built to change that. On our AI-native platform, 10 separate legal projects become one. Months become minutes. Six-figure setup fees drop to a fraction of the cost. And the compliance risks that used to cost millions on the back end now get caught on the front end, before they turn into problems. 60+ countries. 60+ tax authorities. One system of record. Read the full breakdown of the old way and what's changed below. https://lnkd.in/gtfBvZrC

  • 𝗔 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘅. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄! ⏳ Prior rounds? Amounts raised? Post-money valuations? Original issue price? Who got diluted, and by how much? Until today, answering that meant pinging your cap table tool, opening your HRIS, digging through legal folders in Google Drive, emailing outside counsel for validation, then cross-checking all of it for discrepancies before you could even begin to respond. Today, you just ask Slice. Your single source of truth. Starting now, Slice customers can turn the hardest equity questions into decision-ready answers in about 30 seconds — pulled from a single source of truth, accurate, and ready to act on. In the video below, SliceAI takes one prompt and generates a full financing rounds summary. Then with a follow-up, it breaks down fully diluted ownership shifts between rounds and shows exactly how every shareholder position moved. This is the part that matters: it's not faster search. It's not a prettier dashboard. It's the actual answer — the one finance and legal teams used to spend hours, sometimes days, chasing down. What used to cost a full afternoon and three Slack threads now costs you a sentence. Slice customers, it’s live now. Enjoy. ❤️

Everyone wants to offer global equity. Nobody wants to navigate 50 countries worth of tax treatment, reporting triggers, and withholding requirements to do it. Slice does the unglamorous part. Across every jurisdiction, automatically. 🧠 Slice | Global Equity NYC-based Raises $25M in Series A to Automate Global Equity Compliance for Multinational Companies 🔹 Lead Investor: Insight Partners 🔹 Participating: Fenwick & West, Cooley LLP, TLV Partners, R-Squared Ventures, Jibe Ventures 🔹 Total Funding: $32M Leadership: – Maor Levran, CEO What They're Building: Slice is an AI-native global equity compliance and management platform that automates the full equity lifecycle for multinational companies — protecting both companies and employees from regulatory risk and costly tax penalties across every jurisdiction they operate in. That includes: 📊 Cap tables, grants, exercises, and reporting 🌍 Multi-country jurisdiction-specific tax and compliance automation ✅ Approvals, audit trails, and cross-functional workflow execution 💧 Liquidity readiness and secondary transaction support 🔗 Cross-functional coordination across finance, legal, HR, and payroll The goal is simple: Let multinational companies offer competitive global equity — without building a compliance operation in every country to support it. Who Uses It: Wiz, Wayve, Aidoc, Orca, Silverfort, Augury, VAST Data, Aqua Security, Cyera, Optimove, Guesty, and many more — spanning startups, unicorns, and global enterprises. Why This Matters: Global equity is one of the most powerful talent retention tools multinational companies have. It's also one of the most legally and operationally complex to execute correctly. The status quo creates silent liability: – Jurisdiction-specific tax treatment varies wildly and changes constantly – Reporting triggers and withholding requirements differ across every country – Manual compliance processes create audit exposure and costly penalties – Finance, legal, HR, and payroll operate in silos with no unified equity workflow What the Funding Fuels: – AI-native compliance infrastructure improvement – Product and engineering expansion – Worldwide go-to-market scaling My Take - (Muhammad Asad): Global equity compliance is where talent strategy meets regulatory complexity — and most companies are dangerously underbuilt for it. Slice's real edge isn't automation. It's jurisdiction intelligence at scale: the kind that turns a legal minefield into a managed workflow. As companies race to hire globally and offer equity competitively, the platform that owns compliance ownership across 50+ countries doesn't just reduce risk — it becomes the strategic backbone of global workforce architecture. Follow Future Techly for high-signal coverage across legal tech, global HR infrastructure, and AI compliance innovation. ♻️ Repost to keep real builders making global equity safe, scalable, and stress-free visible.

🚨 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝘀: 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝘅 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟬𝟮 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝟮𝟱% The Israeli Supreme Court has now settled a key question on dividend taxation for Section 102 shareholders: 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆: 👉 Dividends received by employees under Section 102 are fully subject to the Section 102 regime - meaning they are taxed at 25%. 👉 The reduced dividend tax rates (15%–20%) available to investors in many tech companies do not apply to Section 102 shareholders. 💡 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: Section 102 remains a highly favorable tax regime, even by global standards - but the Court has now drawn a clear line and removed an additional benefit that some companies sought to apply. 📈 𝗦𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲? From an individual’s tax perspective, there is now little to no tax advantage in distributing dividends to employees compared to other liquidity alternatives (like secondary sales). 🗓️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁? This may push companies to rethink liquidity strategies and equity plan design, especially in dividend-paying companies. 💡 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱? Slice | Global Equity enables companies to run secondaries and tender offers directly through the platform - enabling compliant, streamlined liquidity events through a dedicated workflow fully integrated with the employee app employees already use. https://lnkd.in/dbHPg_xJ

They are meant to balance incentives, retention, and fairness between founders, employees, and investors. It sounds simple, but it rarely is. In reality, most companies end up copying standard structures without fully understanding the tradeoffs. Our Product Tax Manager, Yarin Yom-Tov, recently published a deep dive that breaks down how vesting really works in private companies. The article focuses on the practical implications for founders, finance teams, and employees. The piece was featured on NASPP (National Association of Stock Plan Professionals), industry leaders in equity compensation and stock plan education.
