New in Forbes 👇🚨 "True success for us is having our guests be direct marketers. If we’ve hit the center of the bullseye, the experience was compelling and unique enough that our guests are not just saying they would recommend us to a friend or loved one, but they actually do." Such an honor to have Dave Knox with Forbes interview our CEO, Mark F. 📰 This article covers: 🔑 The Escape Game origin story 🌟 Our relentless approach to guest experience 🔨 The exciting journey of crafting new games 🎯 Our standards for success and so much more! It's a 10/10 read and perfect if you'd like to dive deeper into our story. Thank you, Dave, for such a well-done article! 🔥 Check out the full story: https://lnkd.in/dWZBxUdC

At The Escape Game, THIS is what we are after! Congrats to this team of young heroes who beat Ruins: Forbidden Treasure with just 4 seconds left on the clock! Truly a privilege to serve them. Moments like this take a massive team effort: Game design, production at The Adventure Factory, business management, marketing initiatives, and an amazing in-store hospitality crew — just to name a few! I'm honored to work alongside a team who pour so much passion into the final product, because it all leads to THIS moment where our guests get to be the heroes.

Every month we gather as HQ to celebrate the wins and align on what's motivating us for next month ✨ This month's highlights include...👇 🌵 Unveiling the exclusive store medallion for our newly opened 60th location in Gilbert, Arizona! 🎡 Spinning the wheel of Destiny or DOOM! This was a fun one 😂 We recently installed a Great Big Game Show wheel in our office's main bullpen. C-team kicked things up a notch by replacing the standard wheel wedges with "destiny items", like free lunches for a week, and "doom items", like being tasked to clean the office popcorn machine. Needless to say, we had a blast testing our luck and trying to spin a win! 🏆 #companyculture #teams #officelife

  • Nothing like a sweet treat to get you through a Thursday! For example, the midday surprise of fresh cookies and cold milk in the office today! 🍪 🥛 It's just a small thing, but fun surprises like this keep the workplace fun while we tackle the fast-paced challenges of running 60+ stores! This Thursday's "A Batch Made in Heaven" is just one of the many events our HR department has hosted as part of their Summer Events series ☀️ Excited to share the summer finale in a few weeks and grateful to have an HR team that prioritizes company culture.

  • Very excited for when we'll finally be able to share what that winning game theme ends up being 🤭⏳

This week, our game team is pitching 3 unique escape room concepts to the C-team! We started with dozens of ideas and whittled them down to these finalists. Now, the game team has built out concept visuals and one-pager overviews to help sell the vision for each option. This is always an exciting meeting, but you might be wondering: what does the process of getting here actually look like? To explain that, I need to back up a bit. At The Escape Game, we care a lot about craft and growth. But the lesson we keep relearning is that creativity needs constraints to do its best work. So the very first step of every game is an Initiatives Document. This document is our one-page strategy driver for the game. It outlines a few key boundaries/constraints: 🎯 The target budget & timeline milestones 🛠️ The targeted technical or physical achievements 📐 The exact space requirements We start here because every game plays a specific role in the portfolio. We need big games and small ones, complex builds and ones that don't break the bank. But most importantly, every time we design, we want to push ourselves forward. We want to force ourselves out of our comfort zone in some way: • For Cosmic Crisis, it was a chance to finally integrate projectors and video-game-style interactives. • In Ruins, it was engineering large, moving componentry. • In Depths, it was a more deeply integrated story and video sequence. • In Murder with Meatballs , we had to create an in-house AI vision tool. Making ourselves learn something new every time is a constraint too. It's the one that keeps us from getting comfortable. So if you're curious what's boxing us in for this next game, here's the list: • The Footprint: Must fit exactly into the Depths footprint. • The Budget: Must cost somewhere between Yeti and Heist. • The Experience: Must have a clear and celebratory ending. • The Push: We must build in variable difficulty. Can't wait to see which of the 3 concepts gets the green light!

Over 200 media placements and counting, but when you have a client like The Escape Game and Great Big Game Show, there is never a shortage of incredible stories to tell. They are, quite simply, a dream client. Their portfolio of locations is stunning. Their approach is theatrical, cinematic and wildly creative. Every detail is considered and highly curated, and no stone is ever left unturned in bringing their ideas to life. What we love most is that they don’t follow trends. They create them. They are true pioneers, constantly pushing the boundaries of what immersive entertainment can be and staying several steps ahead of the industry. We’re incredibly proud to be their PR partners and to help tell the stories behind these absolute masterminds. #PublicRelations #MediaRelations #EarnedMedia #HospitalityPR #EntertainmentPR #ExperientialEntertainment #ImmersiveEntertainment

It's crazy what can happen in a year! 🏆🎲 This month marks one year at Great Big Game Show as the Community Manager, and I'm so proud of everything we've built together. A few highlights from year one: 🤳40M+ influencer views and 900 influencer posts sharing our EPIC experience 🏆Launched 11 stores across the country — with 10+ more on the way this year 🕺 Worked alongside Misfit Toys Communications to secure over 200 media hits ⭐️ 5.2M views across social platforms + grew a community of game show fans 💻 Rolled out HTML email templates across all our marketing emails None of this happens without an amazing team behind it. We aren't slowing down, so I'm excited to see what we accomplish in year 2!
