  • Confidence in leadership doesn’t always come from having all the answers — it comes from being willing to step forward and figure things out. As an Incubation Studio Manager in Toyota’s Business Development department, Kay R. works across brand teams, R&D, and global partners to help bring new ideas and business ventures to life in North America. It’s a role that requires wearing many hats, shifting perspectives throughout the day and never being afraid to speak up. That confidence, Kay says, comes from watching her mom lead without hesitation in a male‑dominated medical field, a lesson she carries into every room she enters. As WIIT Plano Co‑Chair, she’s applied that same mindset to creating opportunities for learning, connection and growth across the organization, encouraging others to “just go for it” and learn through action. • Volunteers don’t just give time—they create impact that lasts. Across Toyota, team members from every location are showing up for their communities in meaningful ways. Whether it’s mentoring future leaders through Scouting, sharing specialized knowledge through beekeeping, or coaching others to grow, these efforts reflect a deep commitment to people, purpose, and long-term impact. National Volunteer Week is a reminder that the same care, precision, and teamwork seen on the manufacturing floor extend far beyond, strengthening communities and changing lives every day. #NationalVolunteerWeek

  • From the Toyota Tundra and Sequoia to Texas wildlife, Toyota Texas, our 4,500-acre campus, is home to more than just vehicles. For over 13 years, Gerard P. has helped Toyota Texas humanely manage invasive species, protect native animals, and find safe homes for displaced wildlife. This Earth Day, we celebrate the people behind the work that keeps our environment healthy and thriving. 🌎🐗🦌 #EarthDay #ToyotaTexas

  • Shannon U. is a true powerhouse at Toyota Indiana. Since joining the team in 1992, she has thrived as a woman in STEM, currently serving as a Senior Engineer in Quality Control Engineering. Shannon specializes in the intricate technical details of vehicle paint and anti-corrosion, ensuring every vehicle that leaves the line is built to last. At Toyota, Shannon found a community that values her expertise and treats her like family. She loves the fast-paced nature of her role and truly believes that teamwork makes the dream work. For Shannon, this culture of mutual respect is what makes Toyota feel like home. When she isn’t at the plant, Shannon trades the office for the driver’s seat of her 4Runner TRD Pro or Tundra. She leads a full life at home with her husband, two college-aged kids, three dogs, and a 185-gallon tropical fish collection. Her journey proves that talent and dedication know no bounds, and we value the unique perspective she brings to the line every day!✨ #LifeAtToyota #ToyotaTechTuesday

  • Training the next generation of automotive experts starts with innovation — and the Toyota Maintenance Training Center (TMTC) is where it happens. At Toyota Kentucky and Toyota Indiana, assembling iconic Toyota and Lexus vehicles depends on highly trained team members gaining hands-on experience in facilities designed to replicate real-world manufacturing challenges. The TMTC in Kentucky is a 20,000-square-foot training hub where maintenance technicians practice robotics, electrical systems, conveyors, and programmable logic controllers. Safety dojos, simulators, and hands-on tools help team members build technical skills and confidently work alongside automated systems. In Indiana, “Quality School” and 26 dojo stations at the Global Production Center strengthen dexterity and precision, preparing team members to meet Lexus-level standards. Through structured mentorship, hands-on practice, and continuous skill development, both plants show how investing in people drives the future of automotive manufacturing. 🚗✨ #ToyotaTechTuesday #ToyotaIndiana #ToyotaKentucky
