They provide classroom instruction, hands-on welding training and certification weld testing before employees enter production. Nearly 30 years ago, employees at our Nilai, Malaysia, facility created two steel horses from scrap steel. One was protected with paint, while the other was hot-dip galvanized. After years of exposure to Malaysia's hot, humid climate and corrosive conditions, the difference is clear. The project serves as a powerful demonstration of the long-term durability and performance of hot-dip galvanizing.

Our facility in Elkhart, Indiana, manufactures steel and aluminum poles for Departments of Transportation and infrastructure projects across the country, supported by the team's unique aluminum expertise. Beyond manufacturing, Elkhart employees are making a difference in their community through volunteer work and youth sponsorships. Our Brazil team recently came together for a Quarterly Town Hall to celebrate business performance, reflect on quarterly results, celebrate leadership promotions, and recognize Valmont's 80th anniversary.
