✨ Proud to support an evening that brings sustainability, community, and real impact together across Chicago ✨ As the presenting sponsor, Verde Solutions was honored to be part of Digs With Dignity’s Earth Day Celebration, an inspiring event centered on how thoughtful, sustainable action can transform lives. From diverting thousands of pounds of furniture from landfills to creating fully realized homes for families transitioning out of homelessness, this work is about people, planet, and possibility. 🌍 A powerful message was shared by featured speaker AJ PATTON, Founder & CEO of 548 Enterprise, highlighting how climate, equity, and community investment intersect in meaningful ways within our neighborhoods. Great to see members of Verde Solutions and the Altimus Capital LLC family of companies in attendance, alongside our CEO Christopher Gersch, who proudly serves on the Board of Directors. Thank you to Digs With Dignity for leading by example—showing how repurposing furniture and home goods can create beautiful, dignified spaces while reducing environmental impact. This mission closely aligns with Verde’s commitment to building more sustainable communities through clean energy, resource efficiency, and long-term thinking. Together, we’re proving that sustainability is more than a goal—it’s action that makes a difference. 🌱 #CommunityCommitment #GiveBack #GiveBackToYourCommunity #Sustainability

Verde Solutions reposted this
Last week, Christopher Gersch and Collin Ricker attended the 4th Annual Kellogg Climate Conference at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management’s Global Hub, centered on the theme “Navigating Climate Leadership in a Time of Transition.” It was an inspiring day of conversations with business leaders, innovators, and change-makers, all aligned on accelerating the clean energy transition. At the Altimus Capital family of companies, that commitment shows up every day through the work being done across clean energy, sustainability, and innovative solutions that help organizations reduce costs and operate more efficiently. Proud to be part of a community pushing progress forward—and to be doing our part to move the needle. 🌍 ☀️

💫 There are moments that remind us what real impact looks like—and this is one of them. For the third year in a row, team members across Altimus Capital and our family of companies came together for a meaningful day of service with Digs With Dignity. As part of “Digs Day,” volunteers transform an empty space into a fully furnished, thoughtfully designed home in just six hours, all built around the story, needs, and future of the family. From unpacking and cleaning to installing every final detail, it’s a powerful example of what can happen when people come together with purpose. The result is more than a finished space. It’s a place of comfort, stability, and hope. We’re especially proud to support this mission with our own Christopher Gersch serving on the Board of Directors, and to continue showing up year after year to make a difference. 🤍 A special thank you to Kimberly Hannay, Executive Director of Digs With Dignity, and the family for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful moment—the final reveal says it all. #DigsWithDignity #CommunityImpact #Volunteer #GiveBack #Sustainability #StrongerTogether

A great day in Evanston celebrating the Solarbration at the Robert Crown Community Center! ☀️ Thank you to speakers Krissie Harris (2nd Ward Councilmember), Jonathan Nieuwsma (4th Ward Councilmember), Lara Biggs (City Engineer), and Christopher Gersch for sharing a powerful, unified message: This project is more than a solar installation. It’s a long-term investment in the community. It’s proof of what’s possible when cities, partners, and organizations come together with a shared vision. And it’s a step toward not just reducing costs, but building a cleaner, more resilient future for everyone who lives, works, and gathers here. Appreciation to the City of Evanston for leading by example, Onyx Renewables for their partnership, installation team Fresh Coast Solar, and Climate Action Evanston for their continued commitment to sustainability. Grateful to everyone who joined us for an incredible way to kick off Earth Week 🌎 #VerdeSolarbration #Solarbration #CleanEnergy #Sustainability #EarthWeek #RenewableEnergy #CommunityImpact #GoSolar #CommercialSolar

🏫 It’s always rewarding to see leaders give back where it all started. Proud to share that our very own Christopher Gersch was invited back to Township High School District 214 for the second year in a row as the keynote speaker at the Finance & Investing Competition. Chris spent time with students sharing his journey - from trading on the floor at the Chicago Board of Trade to leading multiple sustainable energy businesses today. He spoke candidly about the lessons learned along the way, the moments that shaped him, and what it truly takes to build a meaningful career. Students also had the opportunity to interview him and gain real-world insight into the path ahead. A big thank you to Dr. Lazaro Lopez and Robert Murphy for continuing to create opportunities like this, and for bringing Chris back to his roots. Always inspiring to see the next generation of students diving into finance and investing. The future is bright. ☀️ Mary Kay Baldino, Kevin Seifert, Morningstar

📰 We’re proud to see our work making headlines. Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep’s solar project—developed and installed by Verde Solutions—was recently featured in the Chicago Tribune, highlighting the real impact clean energy can have on schools and communities: https://lnkd.in/eHdy_ZTG Since installation, the system has: ✅ Saved the school over $100,000 in electricity costs ✅ Reduced carbon emissions equal to taking thousands of cars off the road ✅ Powered roughly 40% of the school’s energy needs Even more meaningful, those savings are being reinvested into education, helping students and the next generation succeed. As electricity costs continue to rise, more schools should be taking advantage of the only free fuel available every day: the 🌞 . If you’re exploring ways to reduce operating costs while investing in your students and your community, now is the time to consider solar. We were honored to have our leader Christopher Gersch serve as keynote speaker at the Forge Entrepreneurship Pitch Event, held at the Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Masters in Business Chicago Campus. It was a meaningful full circle moment for Chris, speaking in front of 26 teams representing University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Northwestern University, Purdue University, Washington University in St. Louis, DePaul University, Loyola University Chicago, University of Chicago and other outstanding schools, while sharing lessons on entrepreneurship, leadership, failure, character, and building a life that can actually carry success. Thank you to the Founders - Illinois Entrepreneurs Forge team and event organizers for the invitation and for putting together such an inspiring event. The energy in the room was special, ambitious students, strong ideas, and the kind of momentum that reminds you the future is being built right now. Some of the messages Chris shared with the students: ✔️ Your first startup is your character. ✔️ The market rewards movement. Start before you feel ready. ✔️ Use the network. One coffee can change your life. ✔️ Do not just build something that makes money. Build something worth becoming. ✔️ The real return is ripple, not ROI. #Entrepreneurship #FutureLeaders #FutureFounders #BuildSomething #Startups #Mentorship
