Since joining the I-Team at WGME CBS13, I’ve seen firsthand how our “On Your Side” mission creates real change for our neighbors here in Maine. Behind every investigation is time, persistence and trust. In 2025, the WGME CBS13 I-Team worked on stories that asked hard questions and put people first. That work included: • Helping an elderly couple get out of a timeshare they were stuck with after an Alzheimer’s diagnosis • Exposing multiple cases of contractor fraud across Maine • Reporting on the closure of maternity wards in rural communities and the impact on expecting mothers • Pushing for transparency after a teenager was mistakenly arrested — reporting that led to police body camera footage being released This kind of reporting only happens because people are willing to speak up and trust us to get them results. I’m proud of the work our team did this year, grateful to the viewers who shared their stories with us and am looking forward to continuing this impactful work in 2026!
