The Automated Governance Platform for ServiceNow | Elite Built Partner | Available on the ServiceNow Store
About us
Every enterprise running ServiceNow ends up with the same problem: changes move across a dozen instances a day, and when an auditor finally asks who approved what, nobody can prove it without weeks spent rebuilding the trail by hand. xtype closes that gap. xtype Enterprise governs every change, access decision, and configuration across the estate in real time, enforcing policy before anything reaches production. xtype Compliance turns that governance into audit-ready evidence, mapped to the frameworks you answer to, from SOX and SOC 2 to ISO 27001, HIPAA, and DORA. What Enterprise governs, Compliance proves. As teams scale and AI takes on more of the work, governance keeps pace automatically. Move fast and stay compliant. Not one or the other. xtype started with large, heavily regulated enterprises because that is where the governance problem is most urgent. But the same challenge exists for any organisation running ServiceNow at scale. #ServiceNow #Governance #EnterpriseIT #ServiceNowPlatform

Here's what one of our customers had to say about working with xtype... "xtype gave us exactly what we needed—real visibility and control across all our ServiceNow environments. It eliminated the chaos of manual deployment, tightened our technical governance, and allowed our platform team to move faster without cutting corners. We’re releasing more reliably, with less effort, and a lot more confidence. This is what scalable ServiceNow delivery should feel like". Read the full review on the ServiceNow store. Same data, different time horizon. That's the line worth sitting with in Ron's post today. A platform owner is watching what's happening right now: did something change, does it matter, can I catch it early? An auditor is reconstructing what happened over months: was the right control applied, can the exceptions be traced back to evidence? Two different jobs, same underlying platform state. That gap, between real-time platform operations and audit assurance, is exactly the one xtype was built to close.
I’ve been speaking to a lot of ServiceNow platform owners and IT auditors lately. I started out thinking about them a bit like cats and dogs. But after spending time with both, often in the same room, I’ve realized something that surprised me and is really obvious in hindsight: They care about much of the same data. They just look at it very differently. SoD violations. Elevated permissions. Role assignments and removals. Configuration changes. Exceptions from policy. The platform owner wants to know what is happening now. Did something change that shouldn’t have? Do I need to act? Can I catch it before it becomes a problem? The auditor wants to know what happened over time. Was the right control applied? Were exceptions identified and remediated? Can I trace the evidence back to the control? Can I prove the process worked? Same events. Same underlying platform state. Different time horizon. That’s important. And it doesn’t stop with those two groups. The CIO, CISO and CCO ultimately care about the same underlying reality too. We tend to treat platform operations and audit as separate disciplines, supported by different processes and different tools. But increasingly, I think they’re two views of the same fundamental problem: How do you continuously know that your platform is under control? For the platform owner, that means real time awareness and action. For the auditor, historical evidence and assurance. For the C-suite, reduced risk, greater resilience and the confidence to keep transforming. The more conversations I have, the more I think the really interesting opportunity sits where these worlds meet. #ServiceNow #ITAudit #PlatformGovernance #ContinuousCompliance #GRC

Weekend war rooms. Monday apology tours. Sound familiar? In his latest piece, our Chief Customer Officer Robert "What the Huck" Huckaby breaks down what happens when Delivery, Security, and Audit finally see the same ServiceNow estate in real time. The story: a Platform Owner and CISO discover they'd been solving the same problem from opposite ends, with no shared visibility to show it. One live picture of the estate changed that; exposing drift, privilege sprawl, and gaps no spreadsheet had caught. The result wasn't Security "winning" or Delivery moving faster at any cost. It was capable people no longer paying twice for the same failure, and getting their weekends back! A must-read for anyone who's ever had to explain a bad release on a Monday morning. 👉 Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/e_TeyYeq #GRC #PlatformEngineering #AIGovernance #ServiceNow

Scott's naming something we see across every regulated ServiceNow estate we touch: a strategic license doesn't create value the day it's signed. It creates value the day a platform team can deploy against it, and that only happens once speed and safety stop competing for the same hour of someone's day. That's the idea behind automated governance. xtype governs every change to the ServiceNow estate as it happens, so a lean platform team can move fast without losing the record of who did what, when, and under what authority. No sprint burned reconstructing evidence after the fact. Give a platform team that combination, and the conversation in the business changes fast: from "when will this ship" to "what else can this team take on." Who's driving momentum on your platform team this week? #ServiceNow #PlatformGovernance #ITLeadership #CIO #EnterpriseTechnology
It’s Monday, and I’ve got IT teams on my mind. A lot of companies still treat IT as a cost center. On a spreadsheet, that may be technically correct. As an operating philosophy, it is badly out of date. In the AI era, IT is not simply a means to an end. It is the company’s growth engine. I see this play out with #ServiceNow customers all the time. When a company builds real momentum, the unsung hero is usually not the executive who signed the contract. It is the platform team doing the work. Unfortunately, IT is often treated like a black box. Tickets and project requests go in, and delays come out, making business owners ask why a license purchased nine months ago is not producing value yet. Licenses, as it turns out, do very little work on their own. Give that same team speed coupled with safety, and the math changes. xtype governs changes across the ServiceNow estate as it happens, giving a lean platform team the ability to move quickly while still showing who changed what, when it changed, and how it reached production. That means new capabilities go live on schedule, sometimes ahead of it. The business begins seeing value this year instead of waiting for the next one. Then the conversation changes. Instead of asking, “How are we going to survive this rollout?” people start asking, “Where else can we do this?” That is how momentum builds. One team delivers. Another business unit notices. Demand grows. The platform team is no longer buried somewhere in the engine room. It is driving the company. So, who is driving your momentum this week? Back the people building what comes next. Let’s get after it.
