Chris Bolling liked thisChris Bolling liked thisAfter years on dialysis, Tim Andrews became just the second person to receive a genetically modified pig kidney transplant. For 271 days, that kidney, affectionately named “Wilma”, gave Tim his life back. He went from being wheelchair-bound to throwing out the first pitch at Fenway Park. When the transplanted pig kidney eventually had to be removed, Tim went back on dialysis until he was able to receive a human donor kidney. He’s now the first person in the world to successfully bridge from a pig kidney to a human organ transplant. With over 100,000 people waiting for kidneys, xenotransplants could help address the critical organ shortage. From a clinical perspective, Tim’s experience is significant not because it was perfect, but because it was informative. Chris Bolling liked thisChris Bolling liked thisSome milestones feel less like a celebration and more like a moment to pause and take stock. I recently received the ACTC — Advanced Certified Team Coach — credential from the International Coaching Federation. I’m genuinely grateful for the recognition. At the same time, what I feel most strongly isn’t accomplishment — it’s responsibility. This work carries weight. The ACTC represents years of study, supervision, and being inside real teams working through real dynamics — trust breakdowns, competing priorities, leadership tension, and the quiet patterns that erode effectiveness over time. It sharpens the craft. It deepens the discipline. But the credential isn’t the point. The point is the leaders and teams who invite me into their most important conversations. Senior executives carrying enormous pressure. Teams whose alignment (or misalignment) impacts patients, employees, families, and communities. My credo is simple: I reduce suffering in the world. And the way I do that is by serving as a catalyst for growth and healing for leaders and teams — helping them surface what matters, strengthen trust, and move forward with greater clarity and courage. Receiving this credential feels like a reminder that the work matters — and that I have the privilege of supporting people whose impact extends far beyond the conference room. I’m deeply grateful to every client who has trusted me in that space. If you’re leading a team right now, where might deeper alignment meaningfully change your trajectory this year?
