Call for Papers: Expanding Health Promotion in Rural America Through the Mobile Health Model. Submission Deadline: March 2, 2026 Overview AJPH invites original articles for a supplement focused on the mobile health model as a standard mechanism to ensure health care delivery and health promotion in rural communities. The mobile health model is defined, for the purposes of this supplement, as a care delivery model that uses customized vehicles to establish remote care sites, more efficiently distributing the local health care workforce and extending clinical and preventive services into communities where fixed infrastructure cannot reach or adequately serve the population. Highlighting promising mobile health practices has become particularly important given the recent $50 million investment in rural health care through the federal Rural Health Transformation Program. The Rural Health Transformation (#RHT) grants are one of the biggest things to happen to healthcare since meaningful use and has the potential to address gaps legacy programs left out. From Converge Health’s perspective, what stands out across the RHT state summaries is how many initiatives hinge on last mile execution, not just strategy. We are seeing repeated needs for: • Translating statewide visions into operational interoperability roadmaps • Standing up or strengthening HIE and shared data infrastructure that rural providers can actually use • Designing governance, consent, and data-sharing models that work across clinical, behavioral health, public health, EMS, and community partners • Supporting provider and community onboarding, workflow alignment, and adoption, especially for small and rural organizations • Bridging policy, funding, and technical teams so implementation does not stall at the handoff This is where a niche advisory layer matters. KLAS Research recently evaluated Suki's ambient clinical AI and published a detailed report. KLAS evaluated real-world deployments of Suki’s ambient documentation across three large Epic health systems: FMOL Health, McLeod Health, and Rush University System for Health. Highlighted results: • ~27% reduction in documentation time, translating to ~3.6 hours saved per provider per month • ~$1,000+ in additional revenue per provider per month driven by improved E/M coding capture • ~$862 added revenue per user per month at another system from more complete documentation • 21% reduction in time spent on notes • 43% reduction in notes remaining open after seven days These numbers reflect gains across clinician productivity, chart closure, and revenue capture, measured using production EHR data rather than pilot metrics.
