Jonathan A. Eubanks posted thisIf you have five locations, you don't have a telecom problem. You have a "nobody owns it" problem: Here's how it happens — no villain required. Location one signed with whoever served that building when you moved in. Location two came with an acquisition and kept its provider. Three and four were opened in a hurry by whoever was managing the buildout that month. Now it's four buildings and a stack of bills from providers who don't know the others exist. And the ownership question is a hot potato: — IT says: we handle the network, not the carrier billing. — The office manager says: I pay them, I don't understand them. — Corporate says: that's a location-level thing. — The location says: corporate signed it. So renewals pass unread, an outage means finding the right 1-800 number before you can even open a ticket, and nobody in the company can answer the simple question: what do we have, and what does it cost? The fix isn't a cheaper carrier. It's ownership — one inventory, one contact, one number to call when a site goes down. Once somebody owns it, the savings usually show up on their own. That's the second thing people mention, not the first. That's the job we've done for 23 years — family-owned, in Columbus, one point of contact across 400+ carriers and providers. Most agreements renew themselves 60 to 90 days before the end date on the paper. Not on the end date. Before it. The calendar decides while everyone is busy. You find out when someone asks why the price went up. There is no trick. There is a list. I put the list in this carousel: every site, every contract, the window that actually matters, who signed it. No prices. No speeds. Nothing that requires guessing at an address. Just what you can fill in today from documents you already have. Comment RENEWAL and I will send the one-page tracker. From learning the basics to perfecting their putting skills, it was a great summer for our Golf Academy golfers. There were lots of smiles and plenty of learning opportunities for this fun group! This impactful program was made possible in part through a grant from the Ingram White Castle Foundation. Thank you to our volunteers who diligently showed up each night, we could not do it without you! We'd also like to thank First Tee - Central Ohio for partnering with us offer this great program to our families. And a special thank you to Golf Galaxy in Dublin for hosting our end-of-season celebration!

Jonathan A. Eubanks posted thisCompanies are budgeting six figures for AI this year and zero dollars for the network it runs on. Only one of those decisions is getting any attention: If you're rolling out AI tools across your company, here's the part the vendor demo skipped. The demo ran in a browser, on the vendor's infrastructure, on conference-room Wi-Fi that only had to carry one laptop. It was smooth. Of course it was. Then it rolls out to every employee, at every location, all day: — Every prompt, upload, and sync rides your existing internet circuits — the same ones people already complained about last year. — Cloud AI traffic doesn't wait politely. It competes with your phones, your point-of-sale, your file syncs, your cameras. — The location with the thinnest bandwidth becomes the location where "the AI is slow" — and nobody blames the pipe. They blame the software. The software was never the hard part. The pipes decide whether it works. Before you sign for the AI, someone should look at what your network carries today and what you're about to add. That review is unglamorous, and it's the difference between a rollout and a rollback. That's the work we do — family-owned in Columbus, 23 years of making sure the boring layer holds up the exciting one. Jonathan A. Eubanks posted thisA real business phone bill crossed my desk this week. Three lines. Twenty-two dollars. If you run more than one location, this is the bill you should worry about: Main Line/s — $20.59 911/Disability Access Fee — $1.50 Total — $22.09 That's the whole invoice. Here's the part that matters. The line says "Main Line/s." It does not say what it rings to. Not whether it's a fax nobody has sent a fax on since 2018. Not whether it's an elevator phone, an alarm line, or a number still forwarding to somebody who retired three years ago. An invoice will never tell you whether you still need the service. That answer lives in the building, not on the paper. And $20.59 a month is $247 a year — exactly small enough to survive every budget review you will ever run. Nobody escalates $247. Nobody argues about it. Now put one of those at each of twelve locations. That's roughly $2,965 a year, and not one of those charges is big enough for anyone to notice. I'm not telling you you're being robbed. The charges on this bill are correct. The fee that looks like junk — the 911 fee — is a real government fee I'd never argue with. The point is smaller and more annoying than fraud: the smallest line on your bill is the one nobody has looked at in years. So here's the thing to do this week. Find the smallest recurring charge on your telecom bill and ask what happens if you unplug it. If nobody in the building can answer, that's your finding. No decision. A calendar did it. If you're the person who owns vendor contracts across multiple locations, here's the uncomfortable audit: Can you name, right now, the renewal date of every telecom and internet agreement your company has signed? Almost nobody can. Here's why that's expensive: — The auto-renew window closes BEFORE the contract end date you have in your head. By the time the end date arrives, the decision was made months ago. — Renewals are when pricing gets renegotiated — or doesn't. A contract that renews untouched renews on the carrier's terms, not yours. — Multi-location companies sign agreements at different times, with different providers, signed by different people. The dates live in the inboxes of employees who may not even work there anymore. The whole fix is one page: every agreement, every end date, every auto-renew window, one place, reviewed 90 days ahead. That's it. Boring, and worth more than most technology decisions you'll make this year. We build that page for companies constantly — 23 years family-owned in Columbus, and renewal season never stops. When does your next contract actually renew? Telecom Upgrade, Hosted Cloud-Based Solution, Technology Solutions
This is a current customer who was looking for a new phone system to replace an outdated one. They had an MPLS network with 3.0, 10.0, and 40 MG connections.
We replaced their phone system with a hosted cloud-based system, upgraded all of their connections to cable/fiber/wireless using SD-WAN, and gave them a 100% uptime network with a complete new phone system. -
Fortune 200 Company upgrades 500MG Fiber to a 10GIG Managed Connection
A large Fortune 200 company was looking for big bandwidth for their new offices. We quoted many carriers, and finally found one to deliver a 10GIG connection. This customer also received free network management included in their service. So far, the circuit has only had one hiccup.

Connectivity Upgrade for National Retailer
We successfully delivered over 200 cable broadband connections to stores across the nation. Customer continues to order a couple locations per month.

Network Upgrade for 88-Location Retail Service Provider
Customer was looking to separate his voice traffic and give it priority. Was having issues with echoes and latency with their current set up. We successfully installed a multi carrier MPLS type network and the customer is still using this service. We are about to switch to SD-WAN and go to cable broadband with their new network once their contract is up.

Brand New Internet Service Provider Needed DS3, OC3, and PRI Connections
I handled setting up DS3 connections with 23 PRI's on each. We then put out 64K dial up connections at the houses in Coshocton. We ran point to point DS3 connections out to many small rural areas in eastern Ohio and set up internet connectivity throughout that part of Ohio.

Really interesting announcements today from Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) about the ability for emergency calls and security / preparedness communications to connect via #WiFi networks and #OpenRoaming, for resiliency and extra in-building reach. There's a three reports and multiple angles here: - Automated connection of phones and other devices to Wi-Fi for 911 / 999 / 112 calls via OpenRoaming, even if there's normally some other authentication method needed. This is broadly similar to the cross-network roaming for emergency calls across cellular networks, and works irrespective of subscription status - Ability to use #WiFiCalling for #emergency #voice comms. (This is for public calls to emergency services, not for first responders' own critical radio comms) - Prioritisation of public safety and "emergency preparedness" traffic on Wi-Fi networks, despite any network congestion. During critical incidents, there can be a huge surge of traffic, especially if mobile infrastructure is damaged (eg in a hurricane). Being able to dedicate capacity or prioritise usage by key personnel or devices makes both the Wi-Fi network and overall communications more resilient and suitable for first responders. - Better location-awareness and use of the Wi-Fi infrastructure for positioning, especially indoors, and the ability to communicate that to the public-safety dispatchers and systems. Based on a quick scan of the documents, some of these features are dependent on newer #Wi-Fi7 systems, with others designed to function on older variants. In general, I think this is an excellent move - in many emergency situations, Wi-Fi and fixed/fibre networks may be more tolerant of outages than cellular, and there will also be some users with Wi-Fi only devices. It adds to the options for communications and network coverage, and also seems to have been designed in a way to minimise possible user intervention and confusion in stressful situations. However, there will be a need in some cases to have some sort of "emergency profile" included in devices. I'd say this is also a very good way to encourage broader adoption of PassPoint and OpenRoaming by enterprises, building owners, CSPs and device vendors - and could also prompt regulators / policymakers to consider it as mandatory. Lastly, I think this is a step in the right direction to a broader view of emergency communications. As well as different access networks - mobile, fixed, Wi-Fi and soon satellite - I think that there should be a much broader "emergency API" approach, so that calls can be initiated in messaging apps, or even from AI voice platforms, going beyond some limited use of things like smart speakers or in-car eCall today.
