Robert Glazier shared thisRobert Glazier shared thisThe success of a mixed-use project with the magnitude of one like Commonwealth relies on strong preconstruction foundations. Through virtual modeling, our project team is able to provide a detailed look at how to best implement design plans and counteract any potential challenges before construction begins. After more than a year of smart planning, Commonwealth blends the history of Charlotte's Plaza Midwood neighborhood with a vision for the future. This dynamically designed project will offer retail and restaurant options, apartment living, and Class A office space. Robert Glazier liked thisRobert Glazier liked thisYou know you're building something special when your customers fly to NYC from literally all over the country. This month, we hosted our inaugural Kroo Customer Advisory Board Day in NYC. And it was an incredible day with our CAB members filled with conversations about data, AI, Kroo, and everything in between. Thank you to Robert Glazier Kyle Rouleau Don Fraser Troy Burns Stacy Laughlin Clint Siebert Ted Jennings Robert Havins Caroline Kreutzer Willis Clayton-Stankowski Tara Messa Rick Walega (we missed you Danny Rothe and Mitch Cornelius!) for spending the day with me and Jonny Xu. And thank you to Jim Lynch, Parker Mundt, and Jonson Berman for coming out to join us too. It means a lot to us that you all came out for this. The day started off with a productive Q3 CAB meeting. We talked about the product roadmap and upcoming plans for Kroo, but the biggest highlight was the show-and-tell from our CAB members. They showed ACTUAL use cases of using AI on their data powered by Kroo (using Kris or the Kroo MCP) at their respective companies, and I loved every bit of it. It's truly incredible to see our customers driving enterprise-wide adoption of Kris and Kroo MCP for so many use cases. We then headed over to Hudson Yards for an incredible time at Edge NYC and Avenue Sky Lounge, where we had incredible views of NYC with good drinks and food. And then we ended the night at Keens Steakhouse to show our CAB a fun part of NYC history. When the only constructive feedback from our CAB was "there was TOO MUCH food", I'd like to think the day went well! 😎 Excited for our next annual Kroo CAB Day, and even more excited for what we have planned at Kroo to elevate how the construction industry operationalizes their data. AI is only as good as the data and context behind it!

I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while working alongside such a supportive team! Throughout my internship, I worked in Excel, Vista, and Procore while assisting with auditing, researching outstanding transactions, contacting vendors, daily project cost reviews, and more. I also worked with the risk management team, analyzing subcontractors and assessing project risk. Additionally, we visited Travelers Insurance, HLB Gross Collins, and PNC Bank, which gave me valuable insight into the broader financial landscape. On the construction side we visited many job sites and got to see firsthand how the work done by accounting directly supports projects in the field. A huge thank you to everyone at Choate Construction Company who made this experience so impactful, especially Natalie Feltes, Stacye Anderson, Daniel McVickerDaniel McVicker, and Robert Glazier. Robert Glazier. I’m excited to apply everything I've learned as I continue pursuing a career in accounting!

Robert Glazier liked thisRobert Glazier liked thisI’m so grateful for the opportunity to spend my summer interning with the accounting department at Choate Construction Company! Looking back, I couldn’t have asked for a more rewarding experience. Over the past two months, I gained hands-on experience in construction accounting by reviewing Procore Pay requirements, reconciling accounts, researching outstanding checks, communicating with vendors, and assisting with cost type audit reviews. I learned how to navigate through softwares like Vista, Excel, Procore, and IRIS. Through these tasks, I developed a better understanding of how accounting supports day-to-day operations and helps keep construction projects running efficiently. Beyond my daily responsibilities, I had the opportunity to learn from professionals across different departments at Choate, giving me a better understanding of how each team contributes to the success of each project. One of my favorite parts of the internship was visiting project job sites and touring the offices of Choate's clients, where I learned more about industries like insurance, public accounting, finance, and banking. A huge thank you to Stacye Anderson, Natalie Feltes, Daniel McVicker and Robert Glazier for your mentorship, patience, and encouragement. Your guidance made it very easy to learn, I really appreciate everything you have taught me. I also want to give a shoutout to Sam Cartrett and Caitlin Rohner for being by my side this summer. From site visits to office tours and everything in between, I'm so glad I got to share this experience with you both. Finally, thank you to everyone at Choate Construction Company who made me feel so welcome. I’m leaving this internship with valuable experience and new knowledge that I will carry with me throughout my career. I can’t wait to see what comes next! #Choate #ChoateConstruction #ConstructionAccounting #Internship #Accounting

Robert Glazier liked thisRobert Glazier liked thisSix months ago, I joined Choate Construction, and looking back, I can honestly say the experience has exceeded my expectations. What has stood out most is how authentically Choate lives its mission: "Choate exists to enrich the world through the people, places, and relationships it builds." It's one thing for a company to have a mission statement on a website or office wall. It's another thing to see it reflected in everyday interactions, decisions, and investments in its people. From day one, I've experienced a culture that prioritizes relationships, encourages growth, and empowers employees to make a meaningful impact. Whether it's collaborating with teammates across the organization, supporting our project teams, or connecting with candidates and industry professionals, there is a genuine commitment to building something bigger than ourselves. Another aspect that has impressed me is Choate's strong sense of identity. The company knows who it is, what it stands for, and where it's going. That clarity creates an environment where employees can align around a shared purpose while continuing to innovate and grow. And, of course, being part of an employee-owned company certainly adds another layer of pride. As an ESOP, every employee has a vested interest in our collective success. Knowing that employee-owned companies can historically outperform the S&P 500 by nearly two times makes being an owner even more rewarding, but what makes it truly special is the culture of accountability, collaboration, and shared success that comes with it. I'm grateful for the opportunities, relationships, and experiences these first six months have provided, and I'm excited about what's ahead. If any of this resonates with you and you'd like to learn more about opportunities at Choate Construction, feel free to message me directly or visit our careers page: www.choateco.com/careers #ChoateConstruction #EmployeeOwned #ESOP #ConstructionCareers #CompanyCulture #Leadership #BuildingRelationships #NowHiring #Careers #Recruiting

Robert Glazier liked thisRobert Glazier liked this👋 We're on a mission at Kroo to operationalize construction data. And we need the right people keeping us honest. That's why I'm excited to announce our inaugural Kroo Customer Advisory Board with Choate Construction Company, Hourigan, Barton Malow, Skender, Erland Construction, Cahill Contractors, Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, and Fortis Construction, Inc. This year, we've been growing fast with record-breaking growth across sales, customers, and product. Even with the strong momentum, Jonny Xu and I are laser-focused on making sure we don't get distracted. That's why we decided in Q2 to formalize our CAB, and we held our first CAB meeting yesterday. As we continue growing, we need to ensure we solve REAL problems with a TRUSTWORTHY solution built for the industry. Our customers always come first. It's an exciting time in construction tech to be building Kroo. Last year, we invested meaningfully in building the unified data layer for construction. This year, we're investing in the operational layer on top of the unified data. Kris (our agentic coworker) and the Kroo MCP are quickly gaining enterprise adoption. We have a killer product with genuine customer love, and that's what drives us to keep doing what we're doing. I'm grateful to all of our customers and especially to our CAB members including Robert Glazier, Kyle Rouleau, Don Fraser, Troy Burns, Ted Jennings, Stacy Laughlin, Clint Siebert, Rick Walega, Caroline Kreutzer, Willis Clayton-Stankowski, Danny Rothe, Robert Havins, Tara Messa, and Mitch Cornelius. Thank you. Onwards and upwards! 🚀
