Serving as owner’s representative, construction manager, and licensed general contractor, MASS supports projects from early feasibility and pre-construction through permitting, construction, and closeout. Its integrated approach aligns stakeholders, anticipates challenges, and maintains control over cost, schedule, and quality, ensuring projects are buildable, efficient, and executed as intended while preserving design vision.

The Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on our South Florida projects. You’ll be the driving force on site, ensuring MASS’s standards for quality, schedule, and budget are met while preserving design intent on complex urban projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Leadership: Direct daily field operations for multifamily, mixed-use, adaptive reuse, or historic preservation projects. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and labor crews
• Schedule & Budget: Maintain and enforce project schedules. Track production, anticipate delays, and implement solutions to keep work on track
• Quality + Design Intent: Ensure construction aligns with plans, specs, and the architect’s vision. MASS operates where design meets execution
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce MASS safety program and all OSHA/Florida Building Code requirements. Manage permitting and inspection coordination
• Communication: Act as primary field liaison to PMs, owners, developers, and architects. Provide daily reports, progress photos, and updates to stakeholders
• Permitting/Entitlements: Assist with navigating Miami-Dade zoning, design review boards, and municipal inspections
• Closeout: Manage punch lists, final inspections, CO/TCO, and handoff to ownership 1055

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years as Superintendent on ground-up or major renovation projects in South Florida. Multifamily, mixed-use, historic preservation, or urban infill preferred
• Technical: Expert in reading plans/specs. Strong knowledge of all trades, building codes, and Miami-Dade permitting processes
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead subs, enforce schedules, and maintain quality on complex projects
• Tech: Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, or similar. Strong iPad/iPhone field reporting skills
• License: OSHA 30 required. Florida GC license or ability to obtain a plus
• Education: Background in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred. LEED AP a plus
• Physical: Able to walk active sites, climb, and work outdoors in Miami climate
