Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Marketing located in New York, NY. The Head of Marketing will oversee all marketing initiatives, including developing comprehensive market plans, leading market research efforts, managing marketing strategies, and collaborating with the sales team to drive growth. Additional responsibilities include managing public relations campaigns, building brand awareness, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
What you'll own
- Define and evolve the brand strategy — positioning, voice, visual identity, and long-term brand architecture
- Lead the Digital Media team to drive awareness and conversion across paid and organic channels, including social, influencer, email, and e-commerce
- Oversee the Packaging Design team through new product launches, seasonal refreshes, and retailer-specific requirements — ensuring every pack earns attention on shelf
- Direct the Graphic Design team to maintain a cohesive visual identity across campaigns, trade materials, sales decks, events, and digital assets
- Build and execute fully integrated marketing campaigns that connect digital storytelling to the in-store experience
- Partner with Sales to support retailer presentations, shopper marketing programs, and velocity-driving activations
- Own the marketing P&L — set priorities, allocate budget, and hold the team accountable to results
- Establish brand health KPIs and a reporting cadence that keeps the leadership team informed and aligned
- Hire, develop, and inspire a cross-functional marketing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of brand marketing experience, with at least 3 years managing multidisciplinary creative and digital teams
- Proven CPG experience — food and beverage background strongly preferred
- Track record of building or significantly scaling a consumer brand, ideally from an early or growth stage
- Experience managing packaging design processes from brief to production, including retail compliance and structural coordination
- Deep fluency in digital and social media marketing — you understand the platforms, the metrics, and what makes content actually perform
- A strong creative eye paired with analytical rigor — you can give feedback on a package mockup and a media plan in the same afternoon
- Comfortable as a player-coach: a strategic thinker who isn't above rolling up their sleeves
- Excellent communicator and cross-functional partner — able to influence without authority across Sales, Operations, and Finance
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience a plus
- Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000
