About the Role
NOW HIRING: HR Specialist (Employee Benefits & Compensation). We're looking for an HR professional to serve as a principal advisor on employee benefits and entitlements, specializing in retirement counseling and benefits administration.
Responsibilities
- Provide managers and employees with information and interpretations on employee benefits administration, procedures, and policies
- Present at New Employee Orientation, host benefits seminars, and facilitate benefits webinars
- Counsel employees who have qualified for retirement benefits including FERS/CSRS/CSRS Offset
- Provide information to help employees make informed decisions and maximize gains from available benefits
- Serve as principal advisor and recognized HR authority on employee benefits and entitlements
Qualifications
- Experience managing employee retirement processes (determining eligibility, calculating service credit, reviewing retirement records, coordinating retirement actions)
- Experience providing guidance to employees on benefits eligibility and enrollment (explaining plan options, processing enrollment changes, resolving benefits issues)
Required Skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to interpret complex federal benefits regulations
Preferred Skills
- Position: GS-0201-13

Pay range and compensation package
Salary: $108,173 - $172,980/year (varies by location)
