The Inspection Intern will assist the inspection team with roadway improvement projects while gaining hands-on experience in construction inspection, project documentation, and construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the inspection team with roadway improvement projects to ensure high-quality construction in accordance with design specifications.
Learn to review construction drawings, plans, and specifications to support the Project Supervisor as assigned.
Assist with preparation of daily construction reports, including personnel logs, pay items, quantities, and summaries of daily construction activities.
Assist with documenting construction progress and maintaining accurate project records.
Work with inspectors, contractors, engineers, and project team members to support project goals and deadlines.
Participate in field observations and inspections as assigned.
Work within a team environment and complete assigned tasks in a professional manner.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to see a project through to completion.
Ability to work effectively in a field environment and adapt to changing project conditions.
Previous construction, inspection, or engineering experience is a plus.
