Overview of Role
The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for executing training and development initiatives at Caliber, a Leo operating company. This role leads the local implementation of the First Day Matters onboarding program, ensuring it is effectively delivered and tailored to role and business needs.
In addition to onboarding, this role focuses on identifying skill gaps and driving targeted training initiatives that improve performance and support career development within the business.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute and continuously improve the First Day Matters onboarding program within the operating company
- Tailor onboarding to role-specific and operational needs while maintaining alignment with the broader framework
- Partner with HR to support career pathing and align training with growth opportunities
- Identify skill gaps and develop targeted training initiatives to address business needs
- Support ongoing training programs that enhance employee performance and effectiveness
- Ensure LMS content is relevant, organized, and aligned with the operating company’s needs
- Monitor training effectiveness through feedback and performance outcomes; make adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with business leaders to ensure training is practical and applicable to day-to-day operations
- Support delivery of training through in-person, virtual, and on-the-job formats
- Partner with L&D managers at other business units to reinforce a culture of continuous learning within the operating companies
Qualifications
- 5 years of professional experience, preferably with 1-2 years in Learning & Development, Training, or Talent Development
- Experience executing onboarding programs within a structured framework
- Ability to adapt training programs to meet business-specific needs
- Experience identifying skill gaps and building targeted training solutions
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Strong partnership skills with HR and operational leaders
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Hybrid based out of Exton, PA with 20% travel
