Plant Controller

LHH is working with a well-known manufacturing company on a search for a Plant Controller located in the Northeast Metro Atlanta. This position will be a high visibility role crucial to the Accounting & Finance function. This is a new position due to growth. DESCRIPTION:

• Own monthly plant close, financial reporting, variance analysis, and KPI reporting for leadership and corporate stakeholders.
• Lead cost accounting, inventory control, and variance analysis across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Drive the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long‑range planning for plant operations and capital needs.
• Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with local GAAP, US GAAP, and corporate accounting policies.
• Partner with plant leadership to identify risks, improve processes, and support operational decision‑making.
• Interviews, hires, trains, and retains staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 3+ years in a manufacturing plant environment
• Strong background in cost accounting and KPI development
• Proficiency with at least one major financial management software
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Experience working with internal controls in a manufacturing environment
