YOUR IMPACT STARTS HERE
We're looking for a Production Coordinator to keep schedules, projects, and shop orders moving smoothly from planning through release to the floor. In this role, you'll drive on-time performance for SRS and Catalog production by partnering closely with Supervisors, VDC, Buyers/Planners, Customer Care, and branch teams to align material lead times with the schedule. You'll own day-to-day scheduling, project tracking in Mendix, and fabrication correspondence — turning cross-functional coordination into on-time, on-spec deliveries from the shop floor to the customer.
What You'll Build & Own
Scheduling & Meetings
Attend all facility meetings and ensure information flows into Mendix and to Supervisors
Own facility schedules as the direct contact for Planning/Scheduling Supervisor/Manager
Work with Buyers/Planners and coordinate with the Production Supervisor on current and upcoming schedules, including labor needs
Attend weekly Production and Planning meetings
Project Coordination
Coordinate with VDC, Fab Material Coordinator, Sales, Customer Care, and branch on upcoming projects and material lead times
Schedule projects and ensure they're built to drawing specifications within Mendix
Coordinate with Production Supervisor, Training, and Engineering on special upcoming projects, flagging specialty needs as they arise
Address project issues within Mendix and work with parties to resolve them
Work with leads on upcoming projects/catalog, shop demand by day/week/month, project kickoff checklists, project closeouts, and daily updates
Own On Time Performance for SRS and Catalog
Complete Mendix BOM to BPCS order checks, coordinating with VDC/Customer Care
Review upcoming projects to ensure master data is complete
Data & Systems
Follow project orders through Victaulic's ERP system, QlikView, Qlik Sense Profound, and Mendix, working closely with VDC, Customer Care, and branch management to get material to the right place at the right time
Review daily runtime data in Mendix, watching for outliers and errors
Work with the MFG Admin on runtimes and data entry needs
Serve as the Mendix help desk
Fabrication & Correspondence
Handle all fabrication correspondence and updates to respective parties, including coordinating truck scheduling
Receive all fabrication Purchase Orders in BPCS
Generate all fabrication BOLs using the BOL Generator
Create and print fabrication labels
Branch & Inventory
Release orders per schedule for picking
Manage all BPCS-related items: pipe inventory adjustments, one-steps after shipments, allocation checks, and print/reset orders
Ensure consumable inventory is maintained and replenished, escalating critical supply needs to management
Ability to work independently, efficiently, self-motivated, and detail oriented
What Sets You Apart
Experience in a manufacturing/steel fabrication environment
Computer literacy of Microsoft Windows software
Good understanding of shop math (fraction to decimal) and the ability to read a tape measure and measuring tools (caliper, micrometers, vernier scale)
