Our Regional Sales Manager, based in Illinois, plays a key role in expanding the presence of Cazcanes across the Midwest and Southwest markets, ensuring our story, standards, and values show up with integrity at every touchpoint.
Position Description:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving volume, distribution, and brand visibility for Cazcanes within the Midwest and Southwest regions. This position manages wholesale partnerships, builds strong account relationships, and executes market strategies that reflect the premium nature of the Cazcanes brand. The role requires a passionate advocate of the agave category—someone who understands both the business side of spirits and the craft that sets Cazcanes apart.
Key Responsibilities:
Territory Strategy & Market Execution
· Build and execute strategic market plans to achieve depletion, distribution, and profitability goals.
· Identify high-value accounts and growth opportunities aligned with Cazcanes’ premium positioning.
· Evaluate market trends, competitive activity, and consumer preferences to refine strategy.
Distributor & Wholesale Management
· Cultivate strong relationships with distributor partners, leadership, and sales teams.
· Conduct monthly market reviews, align priorities, and track KPIs to ensure execution.
· Provide brand education, ride-with support, and programming oversight to elevate sales performance.
· Ensure appropriate inventory levels, pricing consistency, and execution of promotional activity.
Account Development & Activation
· Secure new placements and expand penetration in key on-premise and off-premise accounts.
· Lead staff trainings, tastings, and product education to deepen account engagement.
· Partner with chain buyers to present programming, pricing, and new item opportunities.
· Support activations, events, and sampling efforts that reinforce Cazcanes’ brand standards.
Brand Stewardship
· Represent Cazcanes with professionalism, deep product knowledge, and genuine passion for agave spirits.
· Maintain high standards of presentation and uphold brand integrity across all market activities.
· Collaborate with Marketing on local activation plans and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
Operational & Administrative Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate sales forecasts, depletion updates, and CRM entries.
· Track and manage budgets, incentives, and market spend responsibly.
· Prepare market recaps, business reviews, and actionable insights for leadership.
Qualifications:
Required:
· 3–5+ years in beverage alcohol sales, preferably spirits or agave-focused brands.
· Strong knowledge of the three-tier system and distributor operations.
· Demonstrated success in territory growth, account management, and wholesale execution.
· Ability to analyze data and translate trends into meaningful market action.
· Willingness to travel extensively within the territory (40–60%).
· Valid driver’s license and ability to transport product for tastings.
Preferred:
· Experience with premium or craft spirits brands.
· Existing relationships with key distributors and influential accounts in the region.
· Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
· Genuine passion for tequila, agave, and the craft behind the brand.
