The Regional Sales Manager Midwest– Natural (RSM-N) is responsible for driving sales performance and delivering a best-in-class customer experience within the natural channel. This role focuses on expanding market share across assigned accounts, strengthening retail partnerships, and executing strategic sales initiatives. The RSM-N collaborates cross-functionally with Regional Sales Directors, Territory Sales Managers, and interdepartmental stakeholders to adapt to an evolving consumer and retail landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and mentor brokers and/or sales representatives to exceed territory sales and distribution goals
Develop and cultivate strong relationships with retailers and sales team to elevate brand equity and drive long-term account growth
Successfully introduce and launch new products within the territory, ensuring alignment with national sales goals and securing distribution in all key retailers.
Maintain clear, organized account management tools to enable effective and timely communication of account status internally and with customers
Compose and present impactful retailer reviews and presentations
Leverage consumer insights, market trends, and company strategy to optimally execute targeted programs and sales initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment, efficiency, and cohesive execution of sales programs.
Monitor territory financial performance and proactively address issues impacting profitability, including customer deductions, penalties, and fines
Represent Ancient Nutrition at regional and customer-specific trade shows and events.
Sales Team and Broker Management
Provide clear direction and ongoing support to field teams to ensure effective selling and merchandising aligned with national sales objectives
Maintain accountability for execution of all strategic initiatives in the field.
Work in the field with the sales team to educate, assist and oversee the sales and merchandising of our products
Lead promotional planning, trade investment decisions, and pricing strategy for key territory accounts to drive revenue and profitability
Lead monthly calls with territory sales team to reaffirm sales priorities and objectives
Ensure brokers and field teams are equipped with the appropriate tools and resources each month, including sales reports, product samples, presentation materials, and merchandising aids
Participate in and support retailer headquarters meetings and calls as needed to strengthen relationships and drive best outcomes
Work with SSD-N to recruit sales representatives and brokers in specific areas as needed.

Travel Requirements:
Travel within assigned territory up 75% of the time.
Experience Required:
Minimum 5+ years of retail sales and/or sales management experience, preferably within the natural channel
Based in the Midwest, with proximity to a major airport
Proven experience working with and managing brokers
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote work environment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data, category trends, and customer insights to deliver compelling, data-driven sales presentations
Strong financial acumen, including experience with P&Ls, trade spend management, forecasting, and planning tools
Ability to manage trade investments at both HQ and account/territory level to drive profitable growth
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, consultative selling, and negotiation skills
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively across all levels of the organization
