The Revenue Financial Analyst will work with all of Hearst Newspapers’ publications across the country and partner closely with the Advertising and Consumer Marketing teams to develop standardized processes and reporting. This role will provide financial insights that guide data-driven business decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
Analyze monthly financial results and explain key variances
Build financial models and perform ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives
Prepare clear, data-driven presentations for senior leadership
Manage reporting to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across business units
Assist in the monthly financial close process
Help drive synergies across markets through standardized processes, reporting, and best practices
Partner with Advertising and Consumer Marketing teams to improve market standardization and operational efficiency
What You Bring
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Advanced Excel skills; comfortable with pivot tables, formulas, and modeling
Experience or interest in tools like PowerBI, Oracle, Salesforce, or SAP
Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and a drive for process improvement
Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional teams

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in New York, NY. The reasonable estimate is $75,000 - $85,000. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
