- Lead and grow a high‑performing sales team—coach, mentor, and develop Automation Sales Managers while shaping the next generation of leaders at Acieta.
- Own and influence the entire commercial strategy, from go‑to‑market direction and pricing strategy to territory planning and revenue execution.
- Drive real, visible impact by prioritizing high‑value opportunities, improving win rates, and accelerating profitable growth across key markets.
- Build a best‑in‑class sales culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, trust, and continuous improvement.
- Develop people and elevate performance through hands‑on coaching, pipeline strategy, deal reviews, and opportunity support.
- Partner cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, marketing, finance, and executive leadership to deliver executable customer solutions.
- Strengthen executive‑level customer relationships and help close strategic, high‑impact deals.
- Shape how sales is done at Acieta—refining processes, forecasting rigor, CRM discipline, and performance metrics.
- Play a key role in talent development and succession, helping recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent as the organization grows.
- Help define incentives and recognition programs that reward strong performance, leadership behaviors, and long‑term success.
- All direct reports must be evaluated at least on an annual basis. The Sales Director has the responsibility to make staffing requirement recommendations to the Executive VP of Sales and Marketing.Any changes in the status of a direct report to the Sales Director must have prior approval of the Executive VP of Sales and Marketing.
- Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably related to the scope of the position and necessary for business operations.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field or equivalent education/training combined with 10+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in operations or sales-driven organizations
- Proven record of leading profitable, project-based sales organizations, with documented success growing revenue 15%+ year-over-year across multiple periods while meeting or exceeding margin targets
- Experience leading teams that sell engineered or customized solutions designed to meet end‑user requirements (automation or capital equipment experience strongly preferred)
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, or equipment/system design comparable to Acieta’s solutions
- 10+ years of project management experience in matrixed organizations; CPM or formal PM credentials strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and scale teams, set performance expectations, and drive accountability across distributed or regional organizations
- Strong financial and analytical capability, including forecasting, commissions, pricing, discounts, margins, and performance metrics
- Ability to translate operational and sales data into clear executive-level reports, corrective action plans, and performance updates
- Confident communicator able to present to customers, executives, and cross-functional teams and lead discussions that drive decisions
- Advanced problem-solving and reasoning skills, including interpreting technical documentation, schematics, and complex data sets
- Proficient with CRM and business tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, analysis, and performance tracking
- Willing and able to travel as needed, collaborate across departments, and operate effectively in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments
