Senior Account Executive, Public Relations
The Power Group
Dallas, TX (Hybrid – Tues/Weds in office each week)
4-6 years of PR experience preferred
Are you an experienced PR professional ready to shape stories that move markets and people? At The Power Group, we believe in the power of relationships, bold ideas, and meaningful results. We are an award-winning Dallas PR and digital agency that helps brands earn trust through strategy, storytelling, and integrity, and we live by three values: Do the Right Thing. Win Together. Create Connection and Joy. We are looking for a driven Senior Account Executive to join our team.
What You'll Do
You will be the day-to-day engine of your accounts: the writer our clients trust, the creative pitch reporters answer, and the colleague junior staff learn from. You will own client execution across a diverse portfolio of B2B and B2C brands while sharpening the strategic skills that lead to account leadership.
- Lead day-to-day client communication across multiple industries (restaurants, franchising, financial services, commercial real estate, and more), owning updates, meeting notes, follow-ups, and coordination so clients always know where things stand.
- Elevate client visibility through exceptional writing: press releases, pitches, media alerts, talking points, award submissions, and reports that are client-ready and results-driven.
- Pitch media and influencers with a strong command of strategy, timing, angles, and follow-up, turning smart targeting into consistent coverage and lasting relationships.
- Own the research behind great PR: targeted media and influencer lists, editorial calendars, awards programs, and speaking opportunities surfaced ahead of every deadline.
- Guide Account Executives and Account Coordinators on assigned tasks, deadlines, and quality control, sharing your craft as you grow toward supervision.
- Contribute to account planning, brainstorms, client meetings, and new business development, helping shape proposals and pitch strategies with ideas grounded in media and platform knowledge.
What You'll Bring
- 4-6 years of PR or communications experience, including prior agency experience (required).
- Proven ability to lead integrated PR campaigns across both B2B and B2C sectors.
- Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills; you know how to make complex stories clear, compelling, and relevant. You are a master of AP-style.
- A track record of earning coverage: strong pitch instincts, real media relationships, and persistent, professional follow-up.
- Experience leading client accounts and communication, ideally within a small to mid-sized agency setting.
- A collaborative spirit, a desire to make an impact, and genuine passion for people and purpose.
What Success Looks Like
We define success clearly. Every role at The Power Group has a documented set of competencies and behaviors, so from day one you will know exactly what skilled looks like in this seat and what the path to Account Supervisor requires.
Within 90 days, you have become a trusted day-to-day contact on your accounts, your drafts need only light editing, and you have identified quick-win media opportunities. Within 6 months, you are leading client communication across multiple accounts, securing consistent coverage against client KPIs, guiding junior colleagues, and contributing to agency strategy, growth, and culture.
Why The Power Group
