Staff Accountant

KBW is partnered with a client in their search for a Staff Accountant in the Scarborough, ME area. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting principles and an interest in continuing to grow their accounting experience. This position will support month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and other accounting activities while working closely with the broader finance and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close, including accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and revenue entries
• Prepare financial statements and related accounting reports
• Assist with annual budgets and financial projections
• Research and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records
• Support internal audits and special accounting projects
• Partner with accounting and operations teams on reporting and process improvements
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Prior accounting or related experience
• Strong Excel skills
• NetSuite experience preferred
  
  

Compensation: Starting at $65,000 with flexibility based on experience
