We’re hiring a Technical Sales Engineer to join as one of the early U.S. team members at a company at the forefront of the ISAM (In-Space Servicing, Assembly & Manufacturing) market.


Combining advanced space hardware with AI-driven software, they are tackling some of the most critical space security challenges - and you’ll play a key role in building their U.S. presence while leading technical engagement with defence customers.

The business is tackling one of the biggest challenges in modern defence: space security.

They’ve built a unique dual capability:


  • AI-powered software platform → threat detection, assessment, and decision-making (understanding intent, behaviour, and risk in orbit)
  • Hardware systems → enabling physical response capabilities in space


The strategy is increasingly software-first - helping customers:


  1. Detect and understand threats
  2. Make rapid decisions using AI
  3. Then deploy hardware-based response when needed


This combination is driving strong traction across US and allied defence customers.


The Role

This is a high-impact technical pre-sales role at the centre of growth. You’ll be the person bridging product, engineering, and the customer - leading technical conversations across both software and hardware solutions.


You’ll bring a mix of technical credibility + customer experience and:

  • Lead technical pre-sales engagements with defence and government customers
  • Position both AI software capabilities and hardware solutions in a unified way
  • Translate complex systems into clear, mission-focused value
  • Support SBIRs, OTAs, and other contracting pathways
  • Act as the technical counterpart to Business Development
  • Own technical discussions locally, reducing reliance on overseas engineering teams
  • Spend significant time customer-facing and in the field


Key strengths:

  • Experience selling or supporting sales into US government customers
  • Understanding of defence contracting (SBIR, OTA, etc.)
  • Ability to discuss both software (AI/data) and hardware systems
  • Comfortable operating in a build phase, high-growth environment


Likely backgrounds:

  • Space (SSA, SDA, satellite systems, new space)
  • AI / autonomy / defence tech
  • Government or military (e.g. Space Force, NRO)
  • Technical sales / solutions engineering into defence
