Role Description
On a typical client engagement, Associates work in a team consisting of a Partner, Vice President, senior operating executives, other Associates, Analysts, and client resources, and lead a study module.
Contributing to identification of core issues to address study objectives, construction of issue trees, and development of associated team work plans
Collecting, synthesizing, and analyzing data, including primary and secondary research
Providing a robust assessment of market opportunities and risks
Modeling hypothetical solutions, testing alternative scenarios, and developing fact-based actionable recommendations
Developing factual and compelling message-driven written client deliverables
Assisting in client presentations and contributing to dialogue around insights and proposed solutions
Building high-quality relationships with private equity and portfolio company team members
Providing actionable guidance to junior members of the team
Contributing to firm growth through knowledge and methodology sharing, case studies, proposal support, marketing collateral, and recruiting

Desired Qualifications / Experience / Skills
BS/BA in Engineering, Economics, or similar quantitative field from a top-tier institution; MBA from a top-tier business school preferred
3–6 years of experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm; industry focus in industrials, business services, energy, consumer & retail, or healthcare preferred; due diligence experience a plus
Strong understanding of market, financial, operational, and organizational business concepts
Significant primary research experience, including developing surveys and conducting interviews to gain market insights
Strong analytical capabilities, including building bottom-up market sizing models
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively across senior stakeholders
Structured problem solver with strong attention to detail and '80/20' approach
Results-oriented and client-focused; able to perform in compressed timeframes and data-poor situations
