Country singer Drake White and his wife are mourning the death of their daughter, who died shortly after her birth last week.

Della Elizabeth White died at 9:12 a.m. on Aug. 31, 20 minutes after the singer's wife, Alex White, gave birth.

“We are so thankful for the holy moments God gave us with her,” Alex White captioned a photo of the couple holding the baby girl, posted to Instagram on Sunday.

The couple announced their pregnancy in May, telling People magazine that they conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF). The baby girl was due in November.

“Sharing the news with our family and friends has been one of the best parts of the whole pregnancy,” Alex White told the magazine in a May interview. “We love seeing them as excited as we are to welcome a new baby into the world.”

They also have a 2-year-old son named William Hawk.

Alex White said in the post that she and her husband are “heartbroken and soul tired” over the death of their baby girl, but are leaning on their faith.

“The Lord has been so near and close to us during this difficult time. He has held us up and sustained us through it all,” she posted. “May Della be held in the arms of Jesus until we see her again someday.”
