Indy Public Editor Meet and Greet
Indy Public Editor Meet and Greet
Meet Tracey Compton — Indy’s first Public Editor — in person
Indianapolis is the first city in the country to have a public editor. In this first-of-its-kind role, she will serve as bridge between the news consumers of Indianapolis and the newsrooms who serve them. Learn more about Tracey and the Indy Public Editor Project here.
The evening will start with a 30-minute reception and refreshments. Tracey will then sit down for a Q&A with Kelly McBride, the Poynter Institute’s senior vice president and chair of the Craig Newmark Center for Ethics. McBride also serves as NPR’s public editor, a position she’s held since 2020. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and offer feedback after the Q&A.
