It’s September, which means the British royal family is back at work after their summer vacation. Today, Kate Middleton and Prince William visited the Natural History Museum’s new gardens.
For the occasion, Kate wore a tweed Ralph Lauren blazer and straight-leg pants. She paired the outfit with Pretty Ballerina loafers in suede, and accessorized with Kiki McDonough topaz earrings and a Daniella Draper necklace.
Kate also debuted a new, blonder look—the biggest change to her hairstyle since she became a working royal in 2011.
During their visit, the Prince and Princess of Wales met children and young people who are participating in the museum’s National Education Nature Park programme. Per Kensington Palace, “The themes of environmental innovation and connecting young people to nature are close to Their Royal Highnesses’ hearts,” adding that both “the Prince and Princess are passionate about the power of spending time in nature.”
After it started raining, and the Waleses quickly took shelter under umbrellas.
Kate, who serves as patron of the museum, last visited in 2021. For that outing, she wore jeans, a pink Chloé blazer, and her go-to Veja sneakers. Today’s outfit is a more autumnal, slightly more formal version of that one.
The royal couple were last pictured in public heading to church in Scotland with their children while staying at at Balmoral Castle. Kate’s most recent official engagement was the Wimbledon men’s finals, while William attended the Women’s Euros finals with their daughter, Princess Charlotte, at the end of July.
