Honda has used the Osaka Motorcycle Show to reveal a pair of exciting E-Clutch concept models.

The new Honda CB1000F could be joined by a smaller CB400 Super Four model in the future, while a new CBR400R Four Concept model has also been revealed by the Japanese company at the Osaka Motorcycle Show, in Japan.

Visually, it’s quite clear that the new CB400 Super Four E-Clutch Concept takes after the CB1000F, which recently landed in the UK with a price of £10,599.

There’s no indication just yet of whether the new CB400 Super Four and the CBR400R Four models will make their way over to the UK in the future, or even enter production. However, there’s reason to believe both things could happen.

For starters, Honda is clearly looking to build excitement around both motorcycles, as they will also be showcased at the 53rd Tokyo Motorcycle Show 2026, which takes place on 27–29 March.

The CBR400R Four would also slot in nicely below the CBR650R that’s available in the UK. On the other hand, the CB400 Super Four, should it enter production, would offer riders a smaller alternative to the CB1000F.

If Honda was to make the CB400 Super Four available in the UK, the Japanese manufacturer could enjoy quite a lot of success. Take the GB350S, for example, which is another small-capacity street model that has been one of the most popular motorcycles in the UK over the last year or so.

According to Honda, both models feature a newly-designed in-line four-cylinder engine. They also receive a throttle-by-wire system, while the E-Clutch technology gives both bikes an electronically actuated clutch. The benefits include smoother take-offs, gear changes and stopping, which can be achieved without the need to use the left lever.
