It seems like Ella Langley has a permanent residency at the top of the Billboard charts. The country singer just finished her 20th week at no. 1 on the “Billboard Hot 100” for “Choosin’ Texas.” It’s charted for 44 weeks since its release last year with no signs of slowing down. “Choosin’ Texas” is the first non-holiday single to be at No. 1 for 20 weeks and is two weeks away from catching up to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” record of 22 weeks since that song’s release in 1994.
For those who might be itching for a remix with a certain Canadian rapper, you’re in luck. Langley’s song caught the attention of Drake, who teased a potential remix of “Choosin’ Texas” over the weekend. He’s used Langley’s music in previous DJ sets, but this is the first time he’s included his own spin on it. A collab isn’t out of the question; both Langley and Drake love a good feature. Earlier this month, Drake was spotted at her sold-out Arkansas show singing his heart out, so we know he speaks fluent Langley. When will Langley officially choose Drake for the remix?
